I don't know about you guys but I LOOVE our bracket. Am I drunk on Kool aid to think if we got hot we could go all the way to UCLA in PHX? I think Duke is the weakest #2 seed and Purdue and Xavier do nothing for me.

The inevitable meltdown around town this week will be quite amusing. I'll be sure to wear my UA gear for the next few days to rub some salt in the wounds.

Just picked by Seth Davis as a sleeper! Wow - it was nailbiting but it seemed to work out.

The Pac-10 will be able to prove its conference worth with extended runs by SC, WSU, Oregon, and UA.

Not that it means anything to us right now... But

The West region is by far the easiest road to San Antonio. UCLA was given a gift, while the committee obviously wants Memphis to prove its worth again.

Eh, we're not doing much this week. WVU's a better team and we can't play with Duke. That and most of the players have gotten pretty tired of playing for Kevin O'Neill. I'm definitely looking forward to this offseason. I'd say there's a good chance a real successor is named and the name floating around is going to anger a lot of Pac-10 basketball fans.

Lute will be the coach next year. I would love to see Few or Dixon replace Lute. I say no to Montgomery.

Yeah, Lute's coming back but I really doubt he's here until 2011 as he has said. Usually UA Hoops insight/rumors start coming out around the same time as the football Spring Game so we'll see what's happening here shortly. It's fairly obvious that Livengood really wants a succession plan in place so I'd expect him to push for such over the next few weeks.

Strength of Schedule prevails over powder puffs! Good to see them go in, but I honestly don't expect them to do much with Kevin on the sides. I wish Lute would come back to coach the tourney, but he won't.

If they win one game, it's a huge success to be honest.

Jay Bilas said we are the better team and you have no idea how the players feel about KO.

because having Lute on the sides helped against Illinois in '05 with a 15 point lead with 4 to play helped right? Or when we played uninspired against Purdue in the opening round last year? Or against Villanova the year before right? Thats just me, but I hope Lute steps aside because I don't see how a trembling (parkinsons? it was a medical leave) 74 year old coach, can coach a team. He is a great recruiter still, but you have to be able to manage a game.

We shouldn't be discussing Lute, but we are because he chose a horrible time to announce his return, which shouldn't happen.

Congratulations on the bid. You deserved it.

The attitude that UCLA was given a gift is a little bit of regional arrogance, I think. A&M, UConn, WVU and Duke are not slouch teams. Of course UCLA should be favored. They earned the #1 seed.

Mao is right about UA. Brutal draw.
