Maybe it could work, NE is number three and could use a QB?

assuming CHI drafts caleb, and there are two QB needy teams like NE and WAS below us, one of them will want to deal for the #2 pick to make sure they get Maye (or whoever). They'll be bidding against each other.

I love that so many people are sure the Bears are and should be moving off Fields who also believe that Cards won’t and shouldn’t move on from Kyler.
Reason being it rhymes with “Lead Rap”.

They've played better lately (won 4 of last 6). May convince them to stay with Fields.

Could really go either way at this point
They have, but it’s not like Fields has been dominating through the air. Seen an interview about two days ago where it seemed like Justin felt like his days are over there in Chicago.

Fields has like six fourth quarter interceptions this year including the one that left the door open for us today.

They're never going to win anything with him.

We are #2 because we are 3-12. NE is 3-11 so their win percentage is better for now. We still need a win by them?

Correct. The tiebreaker for draft order is strength of schedule (team with worse strength of schedule gets higher draft pick).

The Cards have the 2nd toughest schedule in the league

That’s not a problem if #4 is also QB needy… and that’s assuming the Bears are sold on their current QB I don’t think that’s a given.

Bears will likely pick a QB. Cost control for next 5 years.

With our strength of schedule wouldn't the panthers have to win twice for us to get #1?

Truly in the Bears hands. I can’t see them taking MHJ with the first pick. If they decide they want a Qb they can get the one the want.
If they decide to stay with Fields there with be a plethora of offers to trade down.
