Seattle really put on a show. And they are tied for the youngest team to win the SB.

SF is right behind them.

We have our work cut out for us. But we did beat Seattle at home and that is something to build on. I like the way our team was prepared by the coaching staff and the moves the FO made.

Rams are improving.

It looks like the NFC West will be at the top for awhile.

Good, it just means the Cardinals will be even more ready for their playoff run next year.

It will be interesting to see what happens to the Seahawks when they have to actually PAY Wilson. In this era of the NFL the cap situation can cause a team to slip pretty quickly.

Maybe they are smart enough to balance it out but only time will tell.

I don't see any kind of falloff in any of the other teams. If anything, the Rams will get better with two draft picks in the top 13. The Cardinals have to infuse some speed into their secondary and wide receiver corps. And they need to get better on the offensive line.

Of course you know nothing stays the same in the NFL. 2007-2010 Seattle was 23-41. SF 26-38, Stl 13-51, and the Cards 32-32. As recently as 2010 the NFC West sent a 7-9 team to the playoffs. As Hank Stram said NFL stands for Not For Long.

we just saw what playing in a soft division will do for you

its easy in retrospect -- but:

look back at Denver's schedule -- overall pretty easy, and of the top 10 defensive teams (on yards allowed), they only played two of them. Further -- they tended to play teams at the best times (Philly early in the season, for example).

they only played 5 games against teams with winning records all season long -- going 3-2 which counts two wins against equally soft KC.

Their schedule on paper looks a lot tougher next season:
@ New England & the Jets,
@ Cincinnati;
@ the Rams,
@ Seattle
hosting Arizona & SF.

Add in their division games and it's hard to see another 13-3 season in 2014 IMO.

It's hard to say what will happen but the NFC West is a war from start to finish.

We finally have a FO and a coaching staff that isn't in some way a complete joke which is refreshing.

I have faith in all of them but they have a tall order. The way to greatness is to minimize your mistakes, we have drafted and built by FA in WAY too crappy a fashion for too long most specifically the offensive line.

We've started making progress on our D line but for whatever reason every move we make on our offensive line tends to veer into the ditch.

Other than our Oline we'd be the dominant team in football. It's time to begin building one.

Move to the NFC West, they said.

It will be an easier path to the playoffs, they said.
