Did you see how much money they gave Brandon Lloyd? $31 million for Randle-El? $4 million per for Adam "I can't cover James Hodgins" Archuleta?

This is why I couldn't stand to hear Snyder open his mouth during the labor struggles. He has done more to blow the salary structure out of proportion than anyone else. He gives big contracts to aging has-beens and mediocre talents, and then the players who actually are good end up saying "Well if Brandon Lloyd is a $4 million per year receiver, I must be worth twice that."

What does really piss me off about Snyder is he artificially drives up the market for great players by giving people like Adam Archuleta, according to Yahoo:

BUT Snyder is paying them to be GREAT not "not bad"...

Lloyd has a career high (if I remember correctly) of 48 catches. Randle El caught what? 33 passes last year? He's paying them like they're 70+ catch per season guys...basically their total for last year combined.

Snyder is a total fool...he buys player hype more than even the dumbest fans on this site. I would take Randle El for HALF the price he paid. And while Lloyd has talent, he has been the model of inconsistency at this point in his career.

While I agree Synder overpays for mediocrity--

the Cards just gave $3mm per year to a guy named Milford Brown.

I think almost every team is guilty at one point or another -- its just he Redskins are pretty consistent
