Who are the Eagles' playmakers on defense? I don't see the iggle defense anymore talented than the colts.

I think their best player is the DE Trent Cole, who if memory serves is a decent pass-rusher.

They are 31st in yards per game defense. {417.9 yards per game}
and 32nd in passing yards allowed per game 300.1 ypg {looks like a good week to grab Carson Palmer and the receivers in fantasy}

They are tied for 15th in points allowed per game 23.6

Who do you start, Palmer or Foles, must win to make the playoffs?

I think the defenses dictate that you have to start Palmer, don't you? (I am assuming this is a Fantasy-related question)
That is what i'm thinking too, but i cant get the Cards in an east coast early game out of my head. I also have the Cards D, so what Foles does, good or bad, can have even more impact. Plus I dont want to jinx Palmer, but he's had good games the last 2 weeks.

The guy I'm playing has Riley Cooper, ugh!

Demeco Ryans is the truth for them TR. Fletcher Cox is a load also. No one in the entire secondary causes me any cause for concern. If Carson is kept clean, might be a long day for those bums.

Their secondary is beat up hence the high passing numbers. You can move the ball against them but they seem to tighten up in the red zone. This is an issue for us as well. Feely kicks far too many FG's between 20 and 29 yards. We have to punch them in. He has 8 FG's from that distance and while getting pints is good, this number should be cut in half at least. Good news is, Eagles are worse in the red zone. This game will be a dog fight. I look for i to be less than a 7 point difference.

I just don't think this Cardinal's team will follow the culture of the past. I believe they will go into Philly ready and prepared to play. I don't see them falling asleep like they have had a tendency to do in the past. They have played hard all year. If they play hard, they will be close at the end or up at the end. Either way, we should have a good chance to come away with a win. You simply have to win games like this in order to get into the playoffs. BA will be preaching that all week. Meetings will be like, (forget stats, forget rankings, forget notoriety,-----just win the damn game)!!!!

agreed with all of the above. don't know if that = a win, but we've got a good shot.

important road game, against a conference foe who's tied the lead in their division is no easy task. this will take a very good performance. hoping that's what we get.

- Weather may or may not be a factor. One reason for continued loyalty toward Mendenhall was IMHO the Eagle game.

- Strength of the Eagle offense is the multiplicity of targets the Cards have to contain - McCoy annd Foles running the ball (especially on draws up the middle in the red zone). McCoy catching out of the backfield. D Jackson and Cooper deep. Even Ertz or Celek (who only caught one pass 2 weeks ago but it was for 41-yards). We'll be spread pretty thin.

- The strength of their defense is up the middle (ILB's Ryans and Kendricks are top 2 tacklers. I hope we attack the perimeter with sweeps, quick outs and outside screens (if or no other reason than to occupy and tire out their edge rushers). They have no single blitzmeister (like Watt, Quinn or Mathis), but instead designate different guys on different plays coming from a variety of diirections and angles Their secondary doesn't look especially daunting. Our challenge will be to give Palmer enough time so we can attack their defensive backfield via the air (weather permitting).

- Palmer spent enough time in Cincy to deal with raw, windy winter weather. Not sure about Foles.

- If we contain their various offensive threats, we should be OK, but you never know about winter brunch-time games before a hostile Philly crowd.

The only offenses that scare me against our D in the NFL is probably Seattle, New Orleans and Denver. Other than that? No team really worries me

I like our chances. We are going out on Friday and the weather should be calm in the upper 50's! Our Offense is on a roll and they have nobody to defend Floyd! Our Rb;s should have a field day. That means we will control the clock. If we control the clock we will win. If we don't turn the ball over we will win.

If we all think about winning we will win! Happy Thanksgiving! Winners.

Hmmm...isn't any game that's played outside subject to whether the weather may or may not be a factor?

Yup. But it's still a potentially big factor (ask Peyton Manning). And it logically would present a bigger challenge for us than it would the Eagles).

Bottom line - it's too important to ignore, but there's nothing we can do to control it. (To put it another way - if I were a betting man, I wouldn't touch this game with a 10-foot pole because the weather factor is so unpredictable).

I had a chance to read some Eagle forums the past couple days. The majority honestly believe and compare Nick Foles to Peyton Manning and LeSean McCoy to Barry Sanders.
