Terrible play calling. Dalton isn't helping the cause but man is he calling a bad one.

Agreed. Some of the most terrible play calling I've ever seen. Early in the third, the run game is at least effective, and he calls 3 straight pass plays out of an empty back set. Gosh, I wonder what the Chargers front seven are expecting?

We dodged an atomic bomb by have any of the Grudens as head coach lol

Not sure I concur. That record 5 division championships and a SB victory speak for itself.

The man for the most part is Whisenhunt in the fact that if you do not have a QB in place...he is unable to identify one for you and cannot develop one. Then one gets the hilarious irony of him sitting down with young draft prospects every year for our viewing pleasure. He would have been a disaster for our situation

So just like Whiz you take personnel out of his hands and have a real GM handling that! Let the coaches coach!

Jay Gruden, the OC for the Bengals, a traditionally horrible organization that hosted a playoff game this weekend?

He must be AWFUL.

I did not understand some of the play calling late in the game. With about 4 minutes left Gruden calls for a deep pass down field on 4th and 3. Results was an incomplete pass and the ball turned over to the Chargers. Then with about a minute left on 4th down and short he calls for a short pass that is completed for a 1st down. Now maybe I'm clueless here but how do you not go for a 1st down with 4 minutes left and keep a drive alive especially when you are already in Charger territory and only 2 scores down at the time and then dink a pass when you are down 3 scores with less than a minute left.

There were some other plays called that just made me go Hmmmm???

we got the right guy in BA

when they interviewed Gruden last year, I was underwhelmed

but --- the fact that moments after getting eliminated, three NFL teams want to talk to him about the HC position says something

That deep pass was more Dalton's doing than the play call.

I would question why he threw ball 31 times in the 4th quarter when, for the most part, they were only down 10.
