Off the field? I saw him walk. Most players are carted from the sideline to the locker-room for any lower body injury.

I've seen tons of players walking to the locker room under their own power for leg injuries

Most overrated player at the deepest position on the team. I feel bad for him personally but this isn't detrimental to the team, IMO.
Very over rated on this forum. Many people, myself included, have been saying it, especially when people were saying he needed more touches. No.

ACL MCL LCL PCL. All work together. BA said they hope it isn't serious, hopefully a week, maybe a month. Makes me think they don't think it is a season-ender, but who knows?

if it's an ACL they often walk off. I hate guessing but the way he went down sure looked like a knee and probably ACL.

Hope I'm wrong.

Yeah... Looked like a classic non-contact ACL fall down to me. Everyone was calling to the sidelines immediately too, like
You see when someone hears a PPP. None are good signs.

If it's an ACL, that sucks and it'll hurt, but I still like a stable of CJ, DJ and
Bringing up Kerwynn.

Given the updated news on it potentially being a PCL, thread title should definitely be updated.

@Cardschatter: Palmer, like Arians, sounded optimistic Ellington would be returning at some point.

Let's hope so. My concern with AE is he's very much a guy who's dependend on speed, quickness and cutting ability. He's not a guy who will be able to play hurt if it's a knee IMO because it'll take away what he does best.

But he also wouldn't be the first guy to hurt his knee, go down in a heap, and then when he calms down a bit realize it's not as bad as he thought.

Fingers crossed.

If Duke is even a little hurt I'd prefer we go with a healthy CJ. We've seen how Ellington does while hurt, and it hampers our whole offense. Go with the healthy players. We have depth and that's precisely why you build depth on your roster.

I think it was just wrong how the Saints got Ellington out of the game. It just doesn't seem fair to let an opposing RB run untouched until his leg gives out.

Yep. I drafted DJ late in my keeper league expecting him to get hurt at some point. This is sooner than I expected, but I think we're ready for it.

DJ is going to thrive.
