I get it.

They just wanted to save the best for last.

So they are waiting to make the anouncement about Edge for later.:D

The Arizona Cardinals Football Club has agreed to a 4-year deal with free agent guard Milton Brown. In accordance with club policy, terms were not disclosed.

Brown (6-4, 325) was selected by the Houston Texans in the sixth round of the Supplemental Draft in 2002. After transferring to Florida State from East Mississippi Junior College, Brown went on to start all 12 games for the Seminoles.

In the past four seasons with the Texans the Montgomery, Alabama native has appeared in 18 games, starting in 16 of those games. During the 2005 season Brown started 12 games at guard for the Texans, nine games at left guard and three games at right guard.

The Cardinals feel Brown’s aggressive style of play will fit well into their offensive system in their efforts of upgrading the offensive line.

“He is very aggressive and very athletic,” offered Head Coach Dennis Green. “He is a big guy but for a guard his size I think he can run and make plays and I think he is ideally suited for our offensive system.”

Brown’s signing marks the second free agent deal the Cardinals have completed today.

“I think it is great,” said Green. “It shows you the great job that Rod Graves and John Idzik have done in getting these guys in here. They were on the phone late last night getting flights set up and getting these guys in here. We’re really pleased with both guys. We think it is going to give us a terrific opportunity to improve our team a great deal.”

The team will continue to aggressively pursue other free agents in the coming weeks. Continue to check back at azcardinals.com for free agency news from the Cardinals.

I have no clue what the have seen but apparently Green and Graves really wanted the guy. I'll applaud them for that but I'll wait until I see what he can do on the field before judging this signing.

The Cards really love Florida State guys.

It takes a while to notify the media and set up the press conference ;)

I find it hard anyone seriously broke down enough tape on Brown to justify the level of scorn he's gotten. Whether he turns out to be good or terrible. If someone actually did watch that much tape of Texans games from last year, in my mind, it calls into question their sanity anyhow.

At least the other Brown we have will have some competition this year in camp. I mean really he was given the job last year without anyone putting up a fuss.

An aggressive lineman on the Cards would be great. Something they have not had in years.

All right, I won't tell you.....

Not quite as embarassing as when they mispelled Pittman's name on a JERSEY.

From what i've read, the guy is better than any guard we have on our roster. Definately an upgrade.

Nothing like welcoming a guy to the fold by misspelling his name on the news story. Hopefully we can spell James right. J-A-M-E-S

Agreed. The Cards are also getting the people that they targeted. A good sign. One more to go today.

We played against both players that signed today, in last season.

They may had caused good impression!
