DOH!

Losing the turnover battle, and kicking FG (missing FG) instead of scoring touchdowns is a recipe for losing.

PENALTIES KILLED THIS TEAM TODAY AS WELL. Crippling game losing type penalties.

Yes we did

And showed no character when we needed it.

Remove the refs and we still could have and should have won this game.

This game is on us all day. And to lay down on the last TD play showed what we are made of

Kicking field goals. Same thing with the Rams loss.

But the penalties were almost fixed they were so bad. The holding call on Floyd has to be called. His Jersey was being held and he was 3 yards thread of the guy. The offensive pi was the worst ever. And cost us 4 more Points. It's like the nfl knows We will be in th hunt but needs teams like Pittsburgh to be relevant. Because no other way you can explain all the calls That went against us and were obvious.

That play reminded me a lot of the Rams game with the Todd Gurley run to wrap that game up.

You really think they're fixed? NFL refs are human like the rest of us. They make mistakes. Sometimes A LOT of them. And, yeah, I am sure most have more love for some teams than others. (Just like teachers have favorites, and don't let anyone tell you differently.) But really.

Good teams find a way to overcome the mistakes officials make.

Couldn't agree more the bs offensive pi on Floyd took away 7 also the pi where his jersey was nearly removed not called would be first and goal from the 1 and that's just two of the attrocious penalties by this **** ass ref crew!

They were beyond blatant. The Floyd play has the ref staring right at them. Yes I believe games can be fixed. Have you heard about the NBA ref. Dude was banned and indicted on fixing or trying to fix nba games. He has said many a time it goes on more than you think. Pittsburgh didn't get called for 1 holding penalty and they had a 3rd string non drafted lt. You can not believe it if you want. But 1 missed call.fine. 2 missed call hmmmm 4 missed calls???? And what about The rams game. They called forward progress stopped? They can make up rules as they go.

I've seen plenty of games where the refs flags or lack of have changed the outcome of the game. This was NOT one of them. You can find a flag that technically could have been thrown and wasn't on about every other play if you rewind tap, and often they really don't matter. Anyone who thinks the refs determined the outcome of this game is delusional. This team, both sides of the ball, looked like they wanted to get home and not be on the field today. Staying back east probably had a lot to do with it. Based on their "vacation" pictures they were showing it turned out just how it should have. Lesson learned on that one I hope.

What really bums me out is Palmer had a chance to win this game despite everything, just like the Rams game, and he choked... not just he tried to make a good play and failed, he choked with stupid plays.

We came in undisciplined, personal fouls were huge, and it just goes to show you aren't in control when you get 5 PFs.

Just a total mess all around and the cherry on top is we were playing against a 2nd and 3rd string QB and got owned. No one to blame except the players, coaches and the play calling.

The missed PI call on Floyd was inexcusable, I'll give you that. And the forward progress call during the Rams game was ludicrous. But, when you say fixed, I picture the refs getting together ahead of time and talking about who's gonna win the game, or the big wigs in the NFL calling the each ref and saying "take it easy on Pittsburgh this week, will ya?" I just don't think that really happens. And, if it does, again, I say good teams need to find a way to overcome it.

Fitz is a superstar that rarely gets any calls. He was mugged from behind just before the ball arrived - no call. SMH.

This was just like the Rams game.. 2 minutes to go, 1st down and instead of running it,pitching it out, screen pass we go for the TD. And we lose.

Yeah, I'd be more inclined to think the referees just can't stand BA yelling at them all game than there is actually a conspiracy to keep the Cardinals out of the playoffs or something like that. That said, all it really takes is one referee making or not making a few critical calls to turn a game. Whether it's intentional or just plain bad officiating it sure seemed lopsided in favor of the Steelers today. Yes, the Cardinals still should have been able to overcome, but they shouldn't have to do it. It's not like we are talking about nitpicking calls you can only see on the replay here.

That's one thing about BA that really bugs me. He is constantly on the refs which probably doesn't do the team any favors on calls.

there were several blatant calls where he could have thrown a flag, but he didn't. Why?

Simple. Many plays are not reviewable.

Example: All judgment calls, such as pass interference, holding and roughing the passer.

Eh, that is a catch-22.

If he doesn't yell at the refs he would be questioned for not doing so.

yes Palmer screwed up.What about the defense? The great wonderful defense with the invisible Calais Campbell,Honey Badger and PP? Who rolled over and give up the clinching TD again late?Who let Landry Jones look like Sonny Jurgensen?
