That was one of the ugliest, most poorly managed, mistake filled openner I have experienced (as far as I remember). Our D never existed. Special teams --- let's just not talk about it. Offense was great until two extremely costly turnovers by Blake resulting in 2 TD and the game.

I'm speechless... Maybe the media knows what they are talking about. Besides Boldin, who also messed up, we looked horrible. God help us all.

Our D never existed.

The lions had a whopping 189 yards of net offense. 32 total net yards rushing (2.5 yds/attempt). The Lions were 4-10 converting on 3rd down and only had 11 first downs.

Granted our red zone defense was poor but how many lion drives started just outside of our red zone?

You might point your finger elsewhere when assessing blame.

How many penalties did we have today? I know it was a ton and it really hurt. But it's just another day at the office.

We lost but I saw more positives than negatives. We now have a team that we can build from and on. I hope that Graves acn mug BB so we can grow!! Bouldin can be a superstar someday!!!

I liked Blake and Emmitt for the most part. But crap, the OLine sucks, and that hurts me to say. They underachieve every year. Big goes down and it's all downhill after that. Clement just sucks--he has to false start to get an edge! Dishman sucks!! He's pushed into the backfield every time!!! DEFENSE: Cannot generate a pass rush to save our lives--yet again! Monday morning SOMEONE MUST BE SIGNED for the DLine. We never sacked Harrington once! Okay, okay, maybe I'm a little excited right now, but DAMN!!!!!!! I love Boldin!! The Q!!!!!
I really like Blake and Emmitt. I think they help this team a lot--turnovers notwithstanding. The offensive line needs to give them more time and open some more holes. Did you see Plummer's debut? Hehehe

It's not that we lost, but we looked bad and unprepared. Could it be we actually down played this game?

If you carefully read the post, the finger is pointed to several areas... The D did not put any pressure on the passer. Show me one instance! He was hardly harried. No ints, no turnovers. Yeah they did stop the run but Lions did not try to run too often.

Yup. All we need now if for someone to espouse Graves genius for having Boldin fall into our lap late in round two.

Q made one mistake and had a huge game otherwise.

Not too bad for a rookie.

Was Gilmore playing ?

Blake was bad in the second half. He missed open receivers, fumbled, threw INT's.

Maybe he should have gotten more work in the pre-season after all.

I guess that we could look at this as being our 5th pre-season game.

I hope some major adjustments are made this week, and that this game gave our starters an opportunity to "gel" a bit.

I just can't believe that the Cards are really that bad!

Some ideas of mine:

- cut Dishman!
- cut Gilmore!
- fire Kuhlmann!

Anyone the Cardinals could bring in to replace these three would be an upgrade at this point...ANYONE!

Gilmore = MarTay

Scrawny, but fast. Need to be a little more stronger up top to get open. Just my opinion.

I really did not expect us to be very competitive this year. We just do not have the horses. I did not expect our coaching staff to be somewhat stupid. Whether it is the OC or the headcoach there is absolutely no reason not to be able to get the plays off in the alloted time. Someone has to get the plays to the QB on time. Who is responsible for this I do not know. Clement jumping ahead of the count over and over is beyond me. I do not know if this is because he is incompetent or they did not practice enough. Our pass rush looked about like last year. It is going to be a long long year.

I have been a Cardinal fan for nearly 60 years and I sure did not see much in the way of positives to take away from this game. We were poorly coached, ill prepared, and have players with less ability.

nice work man. defense was not the problem today.

game management, turnovers and special teams lost it for us.

They weren't the whole problem, but they held up their end. In today's NFL the defense has to get to the QB, force turnovers and stop teams in the Red Zone.

The Cards defense did none of those things today.

The peasants....they're revolting!

...other than Q, that game was revolting. 3 Delay of games, plus pissing away 2 TOs to avoid two others. Utter Disgrace. That's what I would expect if McCown or Parsons (unless the OC is simply not getting the plays in fast enough).

Dishman could not block the "Where's the beef?" lady, let alone an actual NFL DT. Pretty clear that we should have gone harder after Wilkinson, he certainly showed decent mobility and push.

Special Teams was just a tragedy. Ever return was a threat to go to the house. Just a horror show. Player was bad, and we could not get off blocks.

The pass rush was non-existent. Ray Thompson made some decent plays in coverage, but everytime he blitzed he got knocked on his skinny ass. Let's pray this area improves.

Looks like everyone is giving up on Gilmore, but what does Larry Foster bring to the table? He actually takes some stuff off the table. There must be something to the "Sully hates Kasper" stuff because Kasper is WAY better than Foster. When does Foster ever actually get open?? Let's hope BJ improves quickly to get Foster off the field.

Emmitt/Blake/Jones definitely had some good moments....still needed to get Shipp the rock a few more times.

Go Anquan! You guys going next week better be LOUD; this team needs all the help it can get.
