The one that hurts the most is the Lions, obviously. The Cards made Wolford look like a world beater so that one stings too, but we were pretty depleted as well.

I don't have a big problem losing to the Colts or Seattle. Seattle was just a different team the last 3 weeks of the season than they were the first 14.

I do have a problem with losing your last 5 games in a row at home. I'd be floored if there are more than a handful of teams that have ever accomplished that and still made the playoffs. I have been a KK apologist, but if he doesn't improve that stat, he will be fired.
The pathetic part of last year's collapse was running Streveler out there instead of Hundley. I believe we could have beaten both the Niners and the Rams with Hundley as our QB. It was like we were actually trying not to make the playoffs in my opinion.

Wasn't Hundley banged up too?

Discipline first then victories, even if Hundley domestic violence i guess was never confirmed
Its a Cardinals ownership priority

If you want to win badly - you cut Hundley and bring someone else in if you honestly think there are character issues there or you just don't want to run him out there with a cloud of suspicion over his off-the-field situation. You've got to have a reputable backup that can be plugged in if Murray misses some time. Colt showed us that we can win without Murray if we need to for a stretch.

Streveler was the equivalent of scanning the crowd and picking someone that looked like a football player. He was garbage in the CFL, and only intended as some Taysom Hill type change up.

A complete waste of a roster spot, and if we had Colt in 2020, we probably would have been playoff bound.

I dont known when the Hundley DV came out, probably was too late to find a good back up
The Cardinals are so hasty to cut ties with a player if there is a rumor about them being involved in dui dv etc etc
Im not against it but they should wait till the accusations are proven

This.

Colt is the quintessential back up. Come in for 2 or 3 games, hold serve and then hand it back to the starter. Any long term starting duty and his team is toast. Not blasting Colt but he is who he is as his many years in the league shows. One more year with him will be fine IMO, unless he gets some ridiculous offer or has ridiculous demands. Then, you look for the next guy.

Hard to argue Murray has played well in big games. However, more experienced coaches recognize those games require a game plan that allows a young QB to adjust. My priority would be to keep Murray clean for a few plays to let him settle in to a rhythm. So lots of short crosses and slants. Use Ertz often. A screen wouldn’t hurt and I’d keep in a back for a few downs to protect him. Once Murray gets on a roll, he’s far more dangerous. To win he’ll also reach a point where he has to run and take risks. The Rams have failed terribly against running QBs. I’ve already mentioned rollouts. The Cards need to score early and often.

I typed out a “what they should do” post but thought “what the hell do I know?”.

Just don’t turn the ball over and win the stinking game. Please!
LMAO... Ya know,...for 45 years I have played football, watched football, read everything about football, coached the game...along with basketball and baseball...I have evaluated players for the draft at times....and many times spend hours studying tape to see exactly why a particular play happened... I am autistic and we have a habit of getting a little obsessed over our "special interests" and man I tell you there were years where I was absolutely geeked out on the x's and o's of the game.
But I have done that exact same thing many times. It isnt always easy to figure out what has gone wrong or exactly what path a team should take to win a particular game.
But this aint our job, it is a message board....so post your opinion...sometimes people may disagree...but oh well...I have found I often see things in a post that I had overlooked or never considered.

I mean, it is usually safe if you stick with the generics...win the turnover battle....win the T.O.P. battle....get to the quarterback....establish the run early...most of the time a team is going to win if they do those four things in any given game....if facing an aggressive defense throw in...protect our quarterback...

but I agree with you...protect the ball is paramount in a playoff game. early in the season our defense got the ball back for us quite a bit,...jones with his QB strips was a weapon and we need that to happen again.

we are better than the rams. we have more talent than the rams. we can win this game.

I know the meaning. You exaggerated to the point where you shouldn't be believed or taken literally.
How is it exaggeration to say people are mad when we lose and happy when we win? That’s not an exaggeration. That’s an accurate portrayal. In fact, I’d. Entire to guess it’s almost a universal truth.

Which also served as a crack in my belief of kliff as a decision maker.

You aren't understanding my point. Of course it is okay to be happy when we win and the opposite when we lose. If that was it, fine.

We get threads about firing Kliff after every bad loss or even play call. Threads about trading away Kyler Murray, etc.

Simply put, we get overreactions and exaggerations about the status of the team, due to these single losses.
