As hard as we tried to extend this series, it just was not meant to be. I believe this year, the Phoenix Suns is destined to win their first NBA Championship.

I want to come here and tell you that although I myself am personally disappointed in my team, I nevertheless want to applaud Phoenix Suns and their fans for such a terrific season and a great series. I was glad to see images of David Robinson embrace Coach Alvin Gentry and walk him down towards the Suns dressing room.

Good luck against the Lakers--I predict Suns over the Lakers in six, with the Suns stealing home court after defeating the Lakers in game one.

yeah thanks for the props it was a good series, and the spurs never went away in any game. They were just unlucky that the suns were hitting all the 3's etc, also missed fth's hurt you guys a lot. But I know the spurs will be back next year and will be better then a 7 seed more then likley. I'm not sure how the suns will do against the lakers but it will be a real fun series. Good luck to the spurs next will be intresting to see what moves you guys make. I'm pretty sure you guys won't be bringing back Jefferson man he was awful for you guys this series. But gl next year spurs and you are a very classy poster pop.

Thanks much good sir and I hope you are right about us vs the Lakers, I am starting to feel real good about our chances vs them because this spurs team in my opinion was absolutely no pushover whatsoever and yet we beat them pretty soundly. I hope it works out and we can hit the lakers full force in game one.

Now if Utah could just nab one game from them that would be just ace.

I was very proud of Coach Pop, Tim, Manu and David Robinson. After the game, they stayed around on the court for an extended period of time to wish Steve Nash well. I was gratified to see David Robinson embrace Coach Alvin Gentry and escort Coach Gentry back to the Suns locker room. Time for both the Spurs and Suns fans to come together and focus on their common enemy. Lakers will be a touch match up but I am very confident the Suns will defeat them.

I can't like the Spurs or their fans, sorry. But we'll try and bust up on the Lakers ;)

Thanks, but even if you hated us you'd still be pulling for us. In 2008 I was the biggest spurs fan in the WCF because they were playing the Lakers.

Believe me--I have absolutely no hesitation whatsoever pulling for the Suns. Putting our own rivalry aside for a moment--I think we can all agree that Tinseltown, The Zen Master, Kobe--these are guys who can really get your blood boiled regardless if you are a Spurs or a Suns fan.

The funny thing is, there are going to be so many Suns fans west of the Mississippi for the next few weeks. I'm certainly sure King, Warrior and Clipper fans will be major Suns fans.

Sounds good! Also thanks for being classy man. I'll make you an exception. Wow I have a Spurs friend...what has this world come to. Sorry after all the years of the Spurs outwitting us and outplaying us, I despise that uniform and its fan base. I think its better we keep our rivalry intact as well. I can say one thing, as much as Ginobili and Parker frustrate me, they have game. Good god Parker is amazing in the lanes and Ginobili has terrific moves (maybe the broken nose messed him up). And both of those guys are a lot classier than Jerryd Payless who yells and screams like a girl after a dunk by him while trailing by double digits.

Believe me--the Suns will unite the entire NBA fanbases. The Lakers will have their fanbases. The Suns will be supported by every other fan base--Spurs, Mavs, Rockets, Warriors--you name it.

For years, the Spurs were always getting into the playoffs only to get bumped off by the Lakers. And in the process--we'd not only get bumped off by LA--but we'd have to listen to that POS Shaq openly ridicule David Robinson. When we finally got our first championship in 1999, Phil Jackson made it a point of belittling it and stating that because the season was shortened, it deserved an asterick. To this day, We still get that crap from the Lakers.

I beg the Phoenix fan base--PLEASE BUY ALL OF YOUR TEAM'S HOME GAME TICKETS AND DON'T LET THOSE JERKS FROM THE LAKER FAN BASE TO GET PRIME SEATS!!

This just really ticks me off. Whenever we play the Lakers, we always have to endure those dopes. They are really classless!!!

In a van...down by the river.
As always, a class act G Pops. Thx for the support because we'll need it. The Lakers will be a tough challenge to say the least. I see that many of the SPURS faithful over at Spurstalk have gotten behind this SUNS team and thats pretty cool.

Hate to say it but I agree with the spurs fan.. LIMIT the laker fans at the games.. There are an ass load of LA Rapers fans here in Arizona and I hate everyone of them because of their cockyness.

I hate the spurs team-- don't care about the fans
I hate the lakers team-- and hate their fans more.

Just chiming in to agree with the sentiments...props to the Spurs for being very classy in defeat. And props to their fans for the same.

And as much as I wanted to beat the Spurs, I want to beat the Lakers more. Our division foe and longest-time nemesis.

David vs Goliath.

MESSAGE TO SUNS & SUN FANS:
You have killed and eliminated your foe- the San Antonio Spurs. DON'T be satisfied. DON'T be so relieved and happy you finally got past the SPURS and then flop against the LAKERS. When the SPURS beat you a couple times- we went on and WON IT ALL.
So PLEASE SUNS & SUN FANS- show up against the LAKERS. I hope those THREES drop for you in that series and continue to get better on D.
GO SUNS GO

---your fallen San Antonio Spur Fan who will hope you the best of the LAKE show & put a ring on STEVE's finger.
