Anyone who has followed the Cards since they arrived in the valley knows that they lose many games they should win and win many games they should lose. It's who they are. Don't ask me how, but they will somehow manage to pull off 1 maybe 2 victories in the next 2 games. We've been there, done that, too many times to disagree. It's going to happen again.
I appreciate your hopes but I would not place any bets on it. After watching the Vikings really get spanked this weekend it further shows just how bad we are. The Bears ate them up. Unless this team makes some sort of drastic turnaround I think we should be the underdog in every game left.
What if the Cards ended up with the #1 pick in next year's draft? Would we take Luck? With our contract and what we gave up for Kolb that sure is no given. Would it not be ironic if the Colts ended up with Luck after having perhaps the best QB in the NFL for so many years. If we did draft Luck what would be our plan for Kolb? What kind of season would Kolb have to have in order for us to pass on Luck if he should somehow drop to us? We are a stramge team on draft day and my guess we would draft Luck and then trade him for the best possible picks or players.
It is so sad to be talking about the 2012 draft after only 5 games. It sure gets old even for a 60 + year fan.
I really enjoyed watching the Dallas game this week. Right down to the last drive. Both interesting coaching and good play on offense and defense. When the chips are down it brings out the best in tom Brady. As many people think the prevent defense is greatly overrated. I would like to see some statistics on just what results come from this. If you are doing a good job of holding down a teams offense for almost the entire game and then in the last 3 or four minutes go into the prevent defense does it really make any sense. One might say the same thing about the offense. If you have a 3-7 point lead with 5-6 minutes left do you really want to go into a shell trying to burn up time with a running game when you have got ahead with you passing game for most of the game. That seems the NFL way of doing it.
