I consider 8-8 an extremely successful year because that is what I stated in the preseason.

9-7 ? Holy Moly, not in a million billion years did I think this team would see 9-7.

Definitely not this season at least. I thought, realistically, we'd go 4-12 at best.

The NFCW has become what the NFCE was in the 80's where the Cards can have a very good team and never sniff the playoffs. :(

i'd definitely consider 9-7 a successful year. First year HC/GM, taking over a team that finished last year 1-11? Yesterday's loss is a killer, but I still kinda think we find a way to win 10 games, our most ever...and miss the playoffs.

I assume you are referring only to the time in Arizona. The 1975 Cards won 11.

The only time since 1948 that a Cardinals team won 11 regular season games.

Most ever is CKW's 12 wins including the playoffs.

all I care about is Arizona. couldn't care less about what happened in St. Louis. Different states' team.

It was still the Bidwill's team though. But I can see where you're coming from on this. One of the funniest things I've ever encountered at a Cardinals game was the first time the Rams came to Arizona after LA moved to St.Louis. People came from St.Louis to root for the Rams not because they were now Rams fans but because they hated the Bidwills and people came from LA to root for the Cardinals because they hated Frontiere.

The Tempe Mission Palms near the stadium was a riot that weekend as ASU played Oregon at SDS on Saturday night. That Rams game was September 29, 1996 and the Cards won in OT.

Damn I'd been going to Cards games in Arizona for a long time.

I think the Cards are going to have a tough time even winning any games within the division with the current OL and QB play.

Seahawks are destroying the Saints so I can't imagine we have a snow balls chance.....
to beat them this year.

9ers are playing very well but we do stand a chance to beat them in our house.

Have to win the Rams game, not that they aren't a solid team but....

Have to beat the Titans. Don't care about east coast road games, the Titans aren't very good and this is a team you just have to beat.

Can't imagine the Panthers or 49ers having a collapse so the Cards win 9 or 10 games and they still don't get in.

It sure looks that way, unfortunately.

Yes and rightly so. After going 5-11 and looking bad doing it with a QB combo that was it's own sitcom, going 9-7 will be a success.

What's most unfortunate about this season is how long it took CP to get comfortable in BA's offense. IIRC his QBR was similar or worse to Kolb's through the first 4 games of the season. Point is the QB combo sitcom of 2012 was pretty much on display for the first 8 games of this year.

CP still makes me a bit nervous when he drops back now but it's nothing compared to how bad it was with Bones and Lindley last year. The biggest improvement this year over last is that CP has played like a real NFL QB over the last 5 games or so and this team is fun to watch again.
