last time I remember a pure blowout/domination was when we pasted the Colts 40-10 back in 2013.

That's right!

Ha! I was actually thinking that as I was typing it. We always talk about that too. The Rams last year when Palmer went down was the closest I can think? Even though the game was a lot closer than what the score reflect

Yea, just edited my first post as I remembered that game and it was close until the end.

what's the word on Floyd? I'm guessing he's probably out this week but it would be nice to have the full complement of WRs in the game.

Looks like he started playing catch about 11 days ago and it increasing the workout each day to build back up the strength. Still no hard throws yet. On ESPN, they quote him as saying he is day to day.

There is one mirage in this game that I already hear the media repeating that I hope the Cards staff doesn't buy into: The idea that Colston is the go-to guy who needs to be **** down. Cooks is going to be taking over that title this year, and we sure as hell better be prepared.

My only question is this.

Do the Saints actually show up and play West of the Mississippi for once?

They have a track record of suckage when coming to our timezone, including getting beaten by Max Hall, getting beaten in a playoff game against a 7-win team, etc.

Or, have they shaken off that trend? I'm hoping not.

Last 10 Saints Game Against AFCW or NFCW Opponents on the Road (2-8)

1-11-14 (post season) Seattle – 23 Saints 15
12-15-13 St. Louis – 27 Saints 16
12-2-13 Seattle – 34 Saints 7
10-28-12 Denver – 34 Saints 14
11-18-12 Oakland 17 Saints 38 (Raiders went 4-12 that season)
1-14-12 (post season) San Francisco 36 Saints 32
10-30-11 St. Louis – 31 Saints 21
1-8-11 (post season) Seattle 41 Saints 36
12-12-10 St. Louis 13 Saints 31 (Rams went 7-9 that season)
10-10-10 Arizona 30 Saints 20

Michael Floyd expected to practice on Wednesday

Coach Bruce Arians said Tuesday that Floyd will practice with the team on Wednesday. Arians has expressed optimism about Floyd getting back in the lineup for Week One, but the team hasn’t offered any update on his status for Sunday’s game at this point.

The team practiced on Tuesday and Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic reports that Floyd was catching passes on the side during the portion of the session open to the media. It’s not clear how much Floyd will do in practice, but the Cardinals will have to issue their first injury report of the season and that should give a better idea of how likely he is to play against the Saints.

saw that about Floyd...my guess is that he will not play,...they are making the press releases so the Saints have to game plan for him.

Hopefully Peterson can handle Cooks and stop the excuses. Start off the season by finally playing up to his contract.

The Saints are suppose to have one of the worst Defenses in the League. Our strengths on Offense match up very well with their weaknesses on Defense.

WR > DB's and in regards to that its not even close. There Safety Byrd may be out as well who they gave some big money.

They have lost a lot of talent due to salary cap issues. And some pretty poor drafts recently.

Obviously any team with Drew Brees can win on any given Sunday, and to be honest we don't even know if our Defense will be good this year. We again will be relying too much on the blitz and asking our corners to do too much. Bree happens to be exceptional against the Blitz. He was the 4th best QB facing the Blitz in 2014. We struggle to generate pressure when sending the house and I can only assume that issue wont be any better this year.

I still believe we win this game, I think the final score is around 27-24 Cardinals.

Lots of pressure on Payton and Fisher this Sunday , both 0 and 4 in the preseason . They win the opener , that bad preseason fades into the sunset . They ''LOSE" that opener front office eyebrows raise , Damn , they just lost 5 games in a row . Such is the life of a Head Coach !!!

Floyd today during open session of practice was playing the hands team drills for onside kicks. He was diving to the ground for balls. Sounds like he is 100%.

Or....

Someone in a Michael Floyd jersey was allowed to dive for balls in front of the media so that New Orleans would have to prepare for him.

So basically, our D sucks because we lost Dan Williams, Dansby, Dockett, and "Daryl Williams" from last season. :mulli:

Our stadium isn't very loud. :mulli::mulli:

Our OL is awful.

Our QB is very average. :bang:

Their receivers are better than ours.

And the ones coming to the game hope the roof is closed because the temp outside is projected to be 102.

Very informed group over there...

Here is my retort to Saints fans: You guys are 1-7 visiting NFCW opponents since 2010. And your banged-up secondary is never going to be able to contain our offensive weapons. Enjoy.

And yes, the roof will be closed.
