Quez Watkins is an interesting signing. Runs a 4.3 40 at 6'0", was WR #2 in 2021 in Philly with numbers that would have ranked #2 for WRs on the Cardinals this year. Didn't have nearly as much of a role once they traded for AJ Brown in 2022, but put up #3 type of numbers. Was hurt got most 2023 and it apparently lingered for most of this past season. He also has played special teams. Could be the new #4 since he is an upgrade over Pascal. Hopefully we sign a #2, move Wilson to #3 and see what Watkins brings from a speed stand point. Gannon was there during his best season and he's oboe 26.

Watkins is more serviceable than Pascal. I really hope we sign a #1 this off season to help with the receiver room.

I love the leadership that White bring to the defense.

I love his physical violent style of play and the attitude that he brings to the D

I really like White paired with Wilson in the middle of the Defense.

Why mess with something that is good? I will be very disappointed if they don't bring back White.

This has always been a problem with this franchise… constantly plugging holes of our own making (see Zach Allen or Murphy for recent proof) with cheaper options, instead of building on top of the talent that’s already there. That’s not to say I think White is in either of those guys’ class, but he’s a solid part of what we hope is a budding defense that’s just one or two impact makers away from being a true force. This just feels like another one of those situations where we’re going to start the offseason making even more holes for ourselves to fill, but we’re not even talking about a FA who will even come close to breaking the bank this time.

Hope to be proven wrong, but my guess is White’s as good as gone and when he eventually signs somewhere else, we’ll all be wondering why the Cards couldn’t have gotten him back for the same price.

White and Mac Wilson are both solid guys. Team first, max effort, hard hitting, all that stuff fans like.

But they are certainly also a bottom half of the league LB duo and can certainly be upgraded.

We aren't "creating any holes". White is the LB equivalent of Roy Lopez, and nobody is crying we haven't resigned him yet.

Since when can we only address D line? Why is it not possible to upgrade at multiple positions considering the FO has dozens of staff to do this work?

If they bring him back then fine, he's low hanging fruit, but we should also be looking to upgrade there.

Look to upgrade? Always. The idea that we aren't creating any holes by losing them is laughable. As it stands, we have starters at the position that are serviceable. Should we lose them, yes, they then by definition become holes. And with so many holes on D, you're really setting yourself up for failure. Unless you somehow believe no-balls Monti will somehow reconstruct an OL, add a speed WR, and fix nearly the entire defense all in one offseason. I don't think anyone's crackbrained enough to believe he will do that.
