Because he can't get any worse. Rosen will elevate McCoy because Rosen is that much better than Bradford.

There is a greater than zero chance that McCoy is like Whiz and is only successful with a certain type of QB.

And just because he can’t coach worse (an assumption in your part, I’ll bet he can coach worse) doesn’t mean he’ll get better. He’s more likely to stay the same than improve given his track record.

Rosen playing better than Bradford doesn’t make McCoy better. It might make McCoy look better, but it doesn’t make him better.

I've never been more excited to watch an 0-4 team in all my years. I've also never seen a Cardinals team 0-4 in all my years which is pretty incredible when you think of the ineptitude of this franchise for the first two decades they were in Arizona.

As long as Rosen's playing, I'll be tuned in. And I don't expect the sterling performance he had last week. I expect he'll start to struggle when teams start getting tape on him. I just wanted to keep seeing those flashes and look forward to a hopeful future.

And the bolded language is dangerous old boy network line of thinking that keeps the Amos’es in the league far past their expiration date. If the sole criteria for a coaches selection is the fact that he’s coached in the league before he sucks. McCoy sucks.

I think that people are underrating his first game on the road. It's going to be a problem. Even if Levi's Stadium is a tomb half-filled with tech bros too busy distrupting the meatspace to look up from their phones, it's going to be a different, hostile environment that will make it meaningfully more difficult to drag his coaching staff into the victory column.

Rosen has experience playing at Levi’s stadium as a visitor. Against Stanford twice & neutral site game against Nebraska. It might not mean much, if at all, but I don’t think he’s going to have nerves once he sets foot on their field.
