And you're just gonna keep ignoring that they were missing four starters also or go you think that's not that important either?
How many starters were we missing last year on defense and still kept playing great? They still had a good defense out there even with the injuries.

They've been missing 3-4 starters all year so the stats they have put up have generally been short handed on defense.

I don't think yards are all that important at all. Bottom line is they don't allow those yards to turn into points and that is exactly what worked for them yesterday. They allowed us to move up and down the field, but tightened things up when we started getting around the red-zone.

Probably should be noted that the Steelers haven't exactly played a bunch of high-scoring, high-quality teams this year:

Pats - lost and let up 28 pts
9ers - won and let up 18 (scored 43 by the way)
Rams - let up 6
Ravens - let up 23
Chargers - let up 20

Aside from the Pats, they have had a very favorable schedule playing some pretty lousy offenses.

The fact we couldn't generate any rush when their LT went out and with a 3rd sting QB is disgusting...huge embarrassment for the front 7 and our supposed DC.

I only saw one blitz come close once Jones came in at QB. We do need massive improvement there.

Totally agree with the need for an improved pass rush. Going forward, it will determine the fate of the Cardinals.

Pats are #1 in Offensive DVOA.
Chargers are #9 in DVOA.
Baltimore is 16th in DVOA.

Yeah, St. Louis (30th) and San Francisco (28th) are no great shakes, but let's not fool ourselves into thinking that they haven't played some good offenses.
