Name 20 that are better. I can probably name 12-15, but 20?

1.Harden
2.Curry
3.Irving
4.Lillard
5.Kemba
6. Conley
7. Westbrook
8. Simmons
9. Paul
10. Russell
11. Jrue Holiday
12. Rose
13. Eric Bledsoe
14. De'Aron Fox
15. Brogdon
16. Trai Young
17. Kyle Lowry
18. Spencer Dinwiddie
19. John Wall (when healthy)
20. Jamal Murray
21. Derick White

Others in the same range - Beverly, JJ Berea, Jeff Teague, Van Vleet, Delon Wright

Others who could easily pass him - Ja Morant, Darius Garland, Shai Gilgous Alexander

The Bender era ended when we declined his option last year. There was virtually zero chance of him being on the team this year after that.

What it says. Suns considered bringing Bender back at PF. Kaminsky signing signals end of the Bender era in Phoenix.

I can see why but they got a much better player.

But since then they considered bringing him back. That surprised me!

Wow, disagree with a lot of your list -- Derrick White, Jamal Murray, Spencer Dinwiddie (who isn't even a starter), Kyle Lowry, even Eric Bledsoe, and definitely Derrick Rose aren't better than Rubio.

Regardless of Phrazbit's take on Bender, why does signing Kaminsky mean we won't keep Bender? I'm not saying we will, but I don't think Kaminsky's signing means Bender definitely wouldn't be back.

Well Frank takes up our cap exemption spot and so we don't have that to sign Bender and they are apparently still trying to add another guard. Those things along with still needing to shed salary just to get all these guys signed means we likely have no room for Bender.

Holy f! Gambo said they were actually considering bringing Bender back. Now Kaminsky signing the end of the Bender era!

Yeah, I heard that as well. Between signing Kaminsky and bringing back Bender, I think they made the right choice (though I don't see what would prevent them from adding another 4/5 at a minimum salary, which is what they were going to pay Bender).

Murray and Lowry most definitely are better than Rubio. I would put Bledsoe at about the equivalent of Rubio. Rubio is definitely better than Dinwiddie and Rose.

Thev only thing I can see is number of guys on the roster? I get the vet minimum thing. Looks like they are having a hard time freeing up money just to bring Rubio in. Maybe there's that?

My list is based off of their statistical performance mostly - but also a few by their up and coming status (White and Dinwiddie)

I think you are crazy ranking Murray below Rubio - dude is one of the best young players period, and just got a max extension yesterday.

You look at Dinwiddie's stats before he got hurt last year and he overperformed any stretch of time Rubio has ever had.

Sorry, LOL, I confused Jamal Murray with Dejounte Murray.

Is there a reason they couldn’t have given the same contract to Holmes? He also got 2 yrs 10million from Sac.

This. Although I will say the old "throw the noodles on the wall" GM technique does make for a tastier team.

I'm sad to hear they don't want Bender back, I think the lightbulb was turning on for him last year.

Signing him to the minimum seems like a no brainer to me just for the potential he still possesses.

I don't get the hate for these moves. All I recall seeing from some people is how no one wanted to come here, the Suns were a joke and a laughingstock. James Jones has proved they could land midlevel free agents and now those same people are pissed because no big names signed here.

He'll end up in Sacramento or Utah, I assume. Perhaps Dallas.

I'm surprised there is not more hate. I like the moves but really expected bashing Sun fans to go nuts.

Good grief. I go into a staff meeting for a couple hours and I come back and their is news and 8 pages of discussion already.

So. I will have to go back and read the 8 pages but I assume this means Tyler is getting stretched.
