I think he may be a developmental safety prospect that they will use a lot on special teams where he could be really productive.

Ridiculous jumping ability.

SportsNation showed this guys video and basically said he would be drafted for that video alone. Priceless!!

Maybe he's a guy we'll convert to safety? That wingspan and everything seems to make him a good fit. Also, ESPN.com lists him as a safety.

Looks like he'll be one of those CB/S tweeners we seem to like in our system... good special teams prospect as well, maybe.

Tell me that video doesn't remind you of the Adub video from college.

There has been a great deal of talk about Justin Bethel---I think we was FCS Defensive Player of the Year---and, again he is a big-time system fit as he can play CB, FS, SS, nickel CB...and better yet he is a ST ace---Big South record holder all-time in blocked kicks (9) and solo tackles (199).

Usually, the Cardinal employ the 5th round pick as the ST ace pick as they did with Anthony Sherman...but without a 2nd round pick, the Cardinals used this pick as their ST ace pick.

Wow! This draft is outstanding!

Adubs wasn't from college FYI. It was while with the cards. And his was with a a running start. Not near as impressive.

His nickname is the Blue Hose. How can you not like this pick?

The ESPN guys seem to love him. I'm excited after watching the highlights. He looks like a player.

Edit: I guess his school's nickname was the Blue Hose. Still funny, but not quite as good.

Cardinal war room "I will be damned if we let another WR leap over us into the endzone again and then have to watch it on the highlight reel over and over...let's get that Bethel guy...dude can flat out jump anyone, aces baby!"

that number of blocked kicks is amazing. Put him on one edge on kicks, peterson on the other, Campbell in the middle and we might set a record for block pats and fgs this year.

We got a ST ace in the 3rd round as well. Could this be one more indication that the Cards aren't confident in Toler returning 100%?
