I have been reading a lot of posts of people talking about us going back to the super bowl but do you really think that is gonna happen?

As all of you I would love the red birds to go back to the super bowl but i just don't see it happening. I think '08 was a magical season and im just hoping to win the division and make the playoffs.

With Warner back...and most of the same players...Make the playoffs and I like our chances...Lienart in there...and we are back at 2002!

With either QB we make the playoffs and challenge for the division title again. The Cards will have a stronger running game, regardless of QB and that will take pressure off of whoever is in there.

The Cardinals should be a Playoff team in 2009. But, this is the year we have to bridge the gap from K Warner to M Leinart.

We'll be lucky to win 4 games. The front office stinks.

Thought I'd say it before someone else did.

I believe we win the west. Any predictions beyond that is senseless.

I predicted we were going to the Super Bowl last year.;) just like many of you did.

Man...Lienart must be over your house passing the bong around.

No, I actually know the game unlike the many who became fans after the Carolina playoff game. Here is how it has/ will shake out if Leinart is the guy.

Leinart at USC: National Champion and Heisman winner

Leinart as a rookie: replaces a beyond terrible Warner and restores faith in the Cards

Leinart first year under Whiz: not allowed to play no huddle, struggles in Whiz's base offense, injured, replaced by Warner who struggles in Whiz's base offense and excels when Whiz plays to the team's strengths

Leinart in 2008: questionably replaced by Warner as the starter. Team goes 9-7 and has a magical run in the playoffs

Leinart in 2009: Warner, knowing he will never make 29 million being Mother Teresa signs a money motivated deal with SF while Leinart reassumes the starting QB role and takes the team back to the playoffs, while the FO uses the money that would have been wasted on Warner to re-sign Dansby, Dickett, Boldin, and Wilson. Warner retires at seasons end.

Expectations have changed now, nothing less than winning the Superbowl, they were 2 1/2 minutes away from it this year.... That has to be the goal every year now going forward, they have proved that it can be done with hard work and the right players. Improvement is the only goal......win it this time.

What do I expect? Playoffs and a realistic shot at the NFC title game.

What do I want? Same thing as every year....a Vince Lombardi trophy. We were sooooo close...but that doesn't mean we'll be back next year no matter what happens.

It is short sighted to believe that Kurt is the means and the ends to us being successful. Perhaps the coaching staff should deserve some, if not most of the credit for our season.

Whis has done some spectacular things since joining the Cards. Overall winning record, playoff success and the only coach in NFL history to take the Cards to the Superbowl. The FO has performed better since baby Bidwill has taken over.

We are not the Redskins who overpay for over hyped talent.

n in the playoffs

Maybe that's SF's whole stragegy, so they don't have to face him and Fitz twice a year for the next two seasons. That'd probobly be worth 14M guaranteed to them.:p

Win the division, make the playoffs, and try to get back to the SB.

We've just got to have goals and continue to improve in all areas.

If/when we clinch the division in '09 ... I hope we don't quit trying to win games like in '08. :D

If Warner 8-11 wins, 2nd round of the playoffs to superbowl victory
If Leinart 7-9 wins, 1st round exit

I would hate to take a step back, but even a step back would be a pleasure to watch given our history.

Either way 2010 and beyond still looks bright if all of the following are still on the team (Q, A-dub, Dansby, Dockett). If one goes, it still looks pretty bright.

Need another QB prospect regardless if Warner stays or goes. If he stays most likely 2010 draft pick, if he leaves, 2009 and/or 2010 draft pick -no clue on what round.

If a quality fa QB is out there we sign him then to complement our veteran team, but there rarely are quality free agent QB's. But one that can be serviceable for a couple of seasons might be had.

The great part is without all the holes of previous teams, anything more than two servicable players from this years draft would probably mean we have a higher level of talent in 2009 as in 2008.

IMO
