With Amar'e out, I think the Suns need to get another big man. Who is all available?

Joe Smith might get released, same goes for Tim Thomas.

Tim Thomas coming back would be deja vu.

Knicks trade him to the Bulls, Bulls cut him before he ever plays a game and he comes to Phoenix.

If only the Suns can get him on the cheap like they did previously.

I'd go with Tim Thomas over Miki Moore and Joe Smith.

Tim Thomas is not getting cut. VDL likes him and it was Skiles and TT that didnt get along.

We need to tank. Sit Nash,Shaq and play everyone else. We get a high draft pick this year because we dont have our pick next year.

Is there any official comments from our FO yet? Whether or not we are going to add a veteran big man? There are a few out there.

they are so excited to win against OKC that they forgot about it.
They will only realize it when we get owned by the C's on sunday

There are a few have just became avaliable. If we don't act quick enough, they'd be all gone in a matter of days.

I am all for Joe Smith. Tim Thomas will probably not get released. Typically you don't release players with another year left on their contracts. It could happen but I doubt it.

Also, beggars can't be choosers and the Suns are definitely beggars at this point. I will take any half competent PF at this point. The Suns just need a vet with some experience. They are going to have a hard time convincing guys to sign when the Celtics, Cavs or Spurs come calling at the same time.

About the only thing the Suns can offer (money being the same) is a starting PF position.

The most viable options would be moore who was already waived and Smith who may or may not be waived/bought-out. Unfortunately, both have been linked to Boston, Cleveland, and L.A. They'll want to go to contenders, and Phoenix isn't one. Especially without amar'e.

Tim Thomas won't be bought out. He has two years left on his contract. But yes he would be a nice scoring replacement for Amare.

From what I remember about Moore, he is a hustler, but is extremely susceptible to fouls. And he's not a threat on the offensive side of the floor. Just another Amundson.

I think this team should just stand pat the way they are right now.

The Suns desperately need another big unless one is counting on Lopez or Sims contributing. Moore would be a nice veteran addition and he is 7 foot. If Joe Smith is waived I think he would even make a better fit.

This team was used to play small, sometimes ultra-small. So I don't know what's in Kerr / Gentry's mind ...

But the absence of Amare and his 40mpg is obviously something not small enough to ignore. We now only have Shaq and Amundson, way too thin. Eventually it will hurt us when we play against teams who have enough bigs, especially in rebounding. If you remember, FO talked a lot about finding a backup for Shaq last summer ...

I don't know much about Mikki Moore, but Joe Smith said he is not seeking a buy-out. Who else in market? Robert Horry? PJ Brown? Antonie Walker? The situation sounds very desperate. Will they try to play Lopez more? Will Sims see some action soon?

So this is the Suns fate... sad. Especially since they seem to have come together as a team. It's only a matter of time before this team gets wore down by opposing team's frontline.

Moore would be a good addition in case Amare can't play. He is athletic enough to run and definitely a smarter version of Hunter. Joe Smith would also be great even if Amare were not out.
