Of course every wise guy :gun: (get it gangster) will get on this board and say all of them.

No, I mean there are always players that you take a liking to. Maybe not the best player on the team, but is a guy you repsect.

Now I ALWAYS root for my jersey boy, Marcell.

BUt this year I am rooting for David Barrett. Every year we say he has to be replaced, that he is not good enough. Well he is our starting CB again this year. Is he fast no, but he is tough. He is a scrapper. I hope he has a good year this year. If turns out a solid year than our secondary will be one to reckon with.

Others I like:
1. Kenny King at DT - We need a push from the DL, well the guy won a power lift tournement. Plus he knocked his own teeth out tackling someone.

2. Kevin Kasper, WR - He has a list of critics, and negatives that read like Boldin's accomplishments. BUT HE MAKES THINGS HAPPEN!!!! Nuff said.

Calvin Pace. I really feel bad for the guy that every Arizona sportswriter basically said to his face "How do you feel about being taken so highly, when you clearly shouldn't have been taken in the first round at all". I want him to get DROY and then give Scott Bored-O an atomic wedgie.

KVB on defense. I love his motor and the fact he is coming back from his ACL.

Shipp on offense. I love the "unkown makes good" story of his rise in the NFL. Being a Cardinal Fan, who would of guessed!:D

ALSO on offense. BIG. I just love when he bitch-a-fies the opposing defense!:hammer:

Too many to count! :D Players that I really liked either in college or when we drafted them:

1) Levar Fisher: I love NC players!

2) Adrian Wilson: See above

3) Calvin Pace: Again, above

4) Ray Thompson: A very fun to watch player

5) Wendell Bryant: He caught my eye his freshman year

6) Anquan Boldin: I watch a lot of southern football

7) Marcel Shipp: I doubted the guy so much, that it has been sweet watching him prove me wrong!

8) Kevin Kasper: I've doubted him also; now I'm pulling for the guy real hard.

9) David Barrett: Forget the pundits, dude can play.

ALL OF TH..... nevermind

Man, do I just have to choose one? There are sooooo many players I love to root for. How about 1 on offense and one on defense?

Offense: Shipp
Been an underdog his whole life. From HS to College to the pro's. Went undrafted and when given the chance, exploded on the scene. Not the quickest or fastest RB, but he's just a damn good FOOTBALL PLAYER. He makes plays and he plays hard!

Defense: Mckinnon
For many of the same reasons as Shipp. UDRFA, not the biggest/fastest/quickest MLB in the leauge, but he gets it done. Is a firey competitor and leader and is a great FOOTBALL PLAYER. He plays his position with such a passion and has such a zest for the game it gets everyone else on D fired up!

This reminds me of how much I miss Eric Hill! :(

I pull for the underdogs; Kasper, McCown, McKinnon, and Shipp!

Because I have followed his career, and because he is laughed at where he was taken in the draft!

Thats such a great motivator!

Offence would have to be Blake... It has been along time since we have had a good quality QB who can make the throws and run an efficient offence!

I honestly feel he will be the main reason were are sucessfull this year!

On "D" I cant really choose one guy, I love young talented defenders. I like the entire D, except I would like to upgrade at MLB for speed, and we need a 3rd starting quality CB...

On defense, has to be KVB and Thompson. Playing with non-stop abandon and without concern for your body will always count for so much.

On offense, Kasper and Hodgins. Someone who keeps making something seemingly out of less (Kasper) and someone who does the dirty work that benefits others (Hodgins).

special teams love...

Scott Player - I saw him last week punting 45-50 yds and pinning the cowpies DEEEEEEEP.

Also Billie Jean Dramatica if (s)he can get some damn kickoffs to the goal line...

I'm always on edge and ready to lose it (good and bad) when we recieve a kick or punt - I'm saying "don't fumble, don't don't fumble" over and over then I switch to "Bust one ALL THE WAY!!!"

Special teams and Illinois follower:

Wakefield - Love that 10' plus standing reach. He has never been a big sack threat, but hard to throw over or around. He takes away a large throwing lane. I think the Cardinals have the added defensive help, that will allow him to be used more effectively.

Player / Hodel - Player has been a probowler and I think he can repeat. 48yd average with 2 inside the 10 against Dallas is an excellent performance, No AWSUME is a better description. Hodel is one of the top 5 to 8 LS when grading on Snap time, accuracy, and coverage / tackles on punts.

Gramatica - My 3 kids have had 4 ACL's between them. It takes TWO full years to recover. I look for him to get his kickoffs under control, his accuracy on FG speaks for itself to this point.

I'm excited for this teams prospects.

O-line

I agree with all of you on the "skill" position favorites. On the O-line, my favorites are all the undrafted players that made the team last year. Sure there were injuries that allowed them to play, but they hung in and did an awesome job. Remember, we have one of the best O-lines in the league. Are these guys on 2nd and 3rd string average or could they be starting on another team? They played awesome against Dallas. We'll see I guess

My favorite player is Kasper. The kid just makes plays. He is the ultimate underdog, a guy who walked on in college, and broke all the receiving records for Iowa. He broke 3 combine speed records and was still considered slow (white?) He has been cut by 2 teams, but just continues to make plays. If the rumors are true about Sully, we are in trouble. When you look at it Kasper is the only consistent WR we have. We have injuries (Foster, McDrops), and unproven players (Gilmore) and Rookies at WR. If this kid doesn't make the team, there is something wrong. If nothing else, we don't have another kick-returner.

Nearly all of them, except Raynoch (DUI).

Especially like Pace, Wakefield, KVB, Emmitt, Shipp, Boldin.
