Okay. it seems that they went all in with contracts and free agent signings for the S B this year.

They got there. Do they dump certain guys or pay the price and figure out a way to keep this roster?

I don't think its possible to maintain that level of talent in 2019. Due to the cap, they should lose several key starters (Suh, Saffold, Littleton) and maybe the LT due to retirement. They may be able to make some trades again (like Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib) but you have to think their talent level will go down.

Edit: Lamarcus Joyner is also a FA (got franchise tag in 2018). Dante Fowler is as well.

Wow. Saffold is enticing if he can be rented.

Use the Super Bowl performance as a baseline and figure out what moves they need to make to move ahead of the Pats.

Challenges will be (1) whether they have the juice to make those moves, (2) adjustments their opponents make and (3) keeping their roster from caving in during the off season.

The Rams can cut:

Brockers
Talib
Peters

and gain about 27mil in cap space vs. 750k in dead money.

I do not think they re-sign:

Suh
Saffold

maybe try to re-sign Joyner ?

All the Rams actions/words tell that Gurley is having confidence crisis. Rams have blown their best chance to win a super bowl and all they had do was score 14 points.

From every indication, there were not many Rams fans for a freaking super bowl in a closed roof stadium. In the long run, how are they going to sustain this business?

Rams next season will tell everything about McVay as a head coach and his future prospects.

Hasn't LA proven time and again that they can't/won't support an NFL franchise. As good as they were, the fan base is weak. When they left LA for St. Louis, the few fans there could have a conversation from across the field. Football in LA will not survive.

I think they're close to screwed. We'll start seeing the cap ramifications soon... and Goff is going to want a new deal.

He deserves it, but he'll be overpaid when all is said and done, I think.

They’ll be fine and a pain in the ass for some time in the division. Don’t get your hopes up for a potential demise. They’re still well-coached and a destination team, particularly with the new stadium coming in 2020

I think the stadium might be a draw but I also think the state income tax is a killer vs places like Florida and Vegas where there is no state income tax.

Rams have $32 million in cap space even without waiving certain players. They’ll be fine. Young coach and QB in their first SB. They’ll learn from it and move on.

They're set for awhile. There GM knows what's he's doing and turned a team from the pits into a Super Bowl player. Shoot they managed to get Peters and Talib when KEIM has had YEARS and failed to find ONE average CB to play across PP.

Their GM is so far ahead of the Cardinals....I don't think Keim or anyone in AZ has time to worry about the Rams falling from the sky....it's also the team that KILLED the Cardinals in both games 34-0 and 31-9 (and most of their starters didn't even play)

Goofy showed who he is in the spotlight ...

Gurley seems to do the same. If this reapeats, the best they can do, be annual playoff contender, the worst they might expirience is an off year and than if some things go wrong next year this could be a Atlanta break point ... have some bad years in a row.

Cali taxes are no higher than NY and tax advantages in Florida, Texas, Tennessee haven't added up to Championships.

There is no shortage of experts in 'creative ' accounting.

1. Williams, two seasons ago, was an above average CB across from PP21.

2. And your 'most of their starters didn't play' is your usual overstatement, or using a highly appropriate term: ******** !

Wishful thinking that the Rams are in trouble however they are still the team to beat in the NFC West.

This... And, give Gurley 25 touches a game.
