For those who say the NFC West is terrible, I hope (but doubt) that they're correct. If I'm a Rams' fan, I think I'd feel pretty good about my team. They have:
1. An up and coming (maybe??) QB.
2. A running game.
3. A solid (potentially) defense.
4. Good kicking/ST's.
5. A new coach, who might be a VG one.
6. A state of the art stadium being built. And as long as the team is winning will be filled with front running fans.

Yep, all they are lacking is confidence, and that is building quickly. I think they are going to win the division, and definetly have the brightest future. They are also clearly demonstrating how horrible a coach Jeff fisher is.

The coaching is glaringly bad and embarrassingly predictable. On all counts, HC, OC, DC, STs. Like last year, the coaches can't even communicate on challenges that are obviously a waste of a timeout.

What's worse is how BA has the timid AZ media wrapped around his finger. Not one guy had the balls to ask BA why he didn't give Veldheer added help. When asked about how to fix the blocking woes, BA's two word answer was "block better." No one followed up on that. BA clearly wanted to get the heck out of there so he could rush to his "Win or Lose, We Drink" party.

My biggest worry now is that BA has MB and SK wrapped around his finger as well. I am sorry to say this, but it wouldn't come as a surprise.

Our oline got crushed by a 3 man rush. That means:

A) they suck

B) our coaches couldn't see that from the booth and make adjustments??? You have 5 players to block 3 for gods sake!!!

Unfortunately I think we need a complete rebuild and I don't have faith in BASK. First to go needs to be AMOS.

That they lost to the Cowboys at home, and looked like a bunch of jobbers doing it.

This team sucks, and needs to get blown up.

You start to look at this team critically since 2015, and there are major problems all the way to the top.

GM:

1. All those great draft picks are not looking so great. David Johnson ? Luck. If he had his way we would have Abdullah, and not David Johnson, and Marcus "mirage" Golden.

2. Tired of this small school, diamond in the rough drafting. Pick the best player for Pete's sake! Watching young QB's tear up the league, and needed young corner backs and safeties make plays and start for other teams after this year's draft is maddening. Reddick was a dumb draft pick (another small school player, diamond in the rough AND PICKED TOP 20! I was a lot of fun watching Malik Hooker INT Palmer last week!), Budda Baker was a hype draft pick (just another undersized player that the Cardinals will pay to sit on the sideline, injured), Chad Williams was an absolute HORRIBLE choice, and the list goes on and on with Keim.

Won't even talk about the HORRIBLE moves they have made with Tyrann Mathieu, who is officially done being any type of All-Pro, Pro Bowl, or even key to any defense in the NFL, let alone the Cardinals. If it is 3rd down, I am going after Mathieu because he is too slow, undersized, and easily beaten.

3. "Keim Time" - Yeah, that well has gone dry.

This team sucks, the talent is not there, they had NO CAP room this offseason, and there is no future QB for this team. That falls on the GM.

Head Coach:

I really like Bruce Arians as a coach, but the game has passed him by. Not his fault that football is now some half-asses passing skeleton game played with the worst collective talent of offensive linemen league wide, but Arians has showed, he cannot adapt to the new game. To be honest, I do not want to see him adapt, I am not even sure if I can watch this bastardize version of the game. I watched college football this weekend, it was WAY more entertaining.

As for his coaching staff? Losing Todd Bowles was huge, Betcher is getting whatever he gets just because there is still some serious talent on defense but he is a poor coach, as for the rest, well they are going to have a tough time finding work after Arians retires this offseason, becuase he will.

Players:

Palmer - Done
David Johnson - Is not coming back this season, why would they bring him back?
Larry Fitzgerald - LEGEND. Hall of Famer. Deserved a ring, will be his last season.
John Brown - Hurt. Career Done.
Jaron Brown - Special Teamer playing over this head.
JJ Nelson - Too small for the NFL
Chad Williams - He is from a small school, has small school skills, won't be a surprise if he busts out.
Brittan Golden - Would not make most rosters.
Jermain Gresham - Solid TE, but older, and nothing special
Troy Niklas - Bust. Injured most the time.
DJ Humphries - Injury prone, and the jury is still out. Like the player, but the game has to be there.
Mike Iupati - Hurt. Career Done.
AQ Shipley - Never has been, and never was a NFL talent.
Evan Boehm - Out of position, he is a center, and even then could he block anyone at center ?
Jared Veldheer - He is here for a paycheck. I would bench him right now. He is Levi Brown bad.

Frostee Rucker - Too old, career done.
Cory Peters - solid but a free agent and an older player. Gone in the offseason.
Josh Mauro - He is a career fringe roster talent.
Robert Nkimdiche - Overhyped Bust.
Chandler Jones - Worth every penny, but cannot do it alone.
Marcus Golden - Apparently started reading his own press clippings because he has vanished.
Karlos Dansby - solid but a free agent and an older player. Gone in the offseason.
Haason Reddick - Cannot diagnose any plays, little to no impact player. Small school talent.
Deone Bucanon - Undersized for the position, thus gets hurt a lot. Total waste of a Strong Safety.
Patrick Peterson - One of the best players in the league, Top 10.
Justin Bethel - He is a special teams talent, playing over his head, see Jaron Brown on Offense.
Tyrann Mathieu - Undersized for the position, over paid, and injures took away what made him special.
Tyvon Branch - Solid depth player, not a NFL starting talent.
Antoine Bethea - Solid depth player, not a NFL starting talent.
Budde Baker - LOT of hype around this undersized safety, but undersized talent has not been a good idea for the Cardinals.

Special teams - 2nd verse, same as the first.

This needs to be blown up. Good run, good try at a Superbowl. Fun as hell while it lasted, but that ship has sailed.

OK. Done talking about what I do not like about the Cardinals.

Pathetic to lose to the Cowboys in such fashion, I will say that again.

The OLine, Mauro starting, Markus Golden playing like he is, barely any interior pressure, Bathea playing like he’s a FS, Arians’ offense being super predictable.

The one thing that bothers me more than any other is the complacency and lack of effort by KEY players. Lack of knowing where to be by new players is understandable.

I find it aggravating that, this team fails to set a hard edge-------and turn plays back inside where help awaits. Maintaining the edge is fundamental, yet time after time, (whether on punts, kick-offs, wide runs from scrimmage, or quarterback containment), our edge players constantly are juked into giving up the edge containment. This team exhibits a complete lack of mental discipline. There seems to be a total lack of effort to force our opponents back to the middle of the field at nearly all times.

This lack of effort is also displayed time after time by lack of commitment to engage the opponent in physicality, especially when it comes to man on man tackling. Given the choice to be physical, many of the Cardinals players would just as soon whiff on tackles, or be content to play 'touch football' instead of committing their bodies to contact.

Lack of size, or ability, or speed, or knowledge of the game is reason enough for poor play-----------but the lack of effort to engage, or to simply do what is necessary and required is unforgivable in my opinion---------and the fact that there seems to be more and more it this type of play evidenced with each passing game just turns my stomach.

Consistency is our main problem right now. We were slaughtering the Cowboys on defense in the first quarter, but come the second quarter and ESPECIALLY the second half, we just let them go. Dawson is less consistent than Catman, Veldheer plays like he has a severe concussion (he looks like does, too), and the less said about our o-line, the better. A pathetic showing. Carson doesn't deserve this. Larry doesn't deserve this. CJ doesn't deserve this. Just awful.

CJ? I really don't get why people love this guy so much. He had a nice ten game run for us two years ago but has looked pretty damn cooked since then.

There's so many little things i can point to... an awful O-line, a decision to let two big play-makers go without replacing them at all... deciding that what this team need was an influx of AGE instead of talent... but none of those bother me as much as this:

This year's and last year's teams... ARE FREAKING BORING BAD. Meaning, at least in the past, the Cardinals would AMAZE with their ability to come up with unfathomable ways to lose football games. We'd all freak out, laugh about it... and get ready whatever nightmare they cooked up next.

But this? This is just boring bad football... old, boring bad football. There's no surprises anymore. They've become predictably boring and bad. it's like we're getting absolutely ZERO entertainment value out of these games now.

That sucks.

What does everyone else hate most about the team now?

Yep it's this. I actually played Fallout 4 while the game was on because I knew it was going to be marginally interesting and mostly frustrating.

I'm pretty sure I shared this exact take last week in the thread about people selling their MNF tickets.

Everything about this team is geriatric. Coaching staff and schemes included. There is NOTHING about this team that is fresh and exciting.

Seriously it's like watching the Sr. tour guys matching up against the PGA pros. Sure every now and then the geezers will nicely place one the green or sink that 30 foot put that reminds you of long bygone days. Ultimately though they succumb to the modern guys.

Meanwhile we have all dozed off watching from our recliners. It's that bad. Watching and rooting for this team even makes ME feel old.

Impossible to call out just one thing...there are a plethora of frustrating and alarming issues with this team:

Coaching - just seems to me we are getting out-coached on a regular basis. Really going back to last season actually. Play-calling (3rd and 1 last night and we try a stupid pass play??), adjustments, scheme... All seems off.

Talent: We currently do not possess a NFL caliber RT, RG and C. We don't possess a NFL caliber RB. Aside from Fitz and now a hamstring hampered JJ Nelson, we don't have NFL caliber WR's. Gresham is our only halfway decent TE, but even he got knocked all over the place when blocking last night. Bethel continues to come up short. And my concern over Badger is now alltime high. Love the guy, but I am starting to believe his physical ability can't match his heart... It now seems we don't have a NFL caliber kicker as well.

No Big Play capability: With DJ and Smoke gone, and Nelson's hamstring, we literally have no big play ability. Nothing we toss out there on offense freaks out the defense. Nothing... Not even Fitz.

Back to coaching - the Cowboys consistently rushed 3 and dropped 8. Yes, they somehow STILL got to Palmer on almost every play, but you're telling BA couldn't adjust and call plays that would've forced Dallas to shift out of that scheme? Just crazy...

I honestly can't see the above issues changing this season. Which means we are in for another long, frustrating year. I see 6 wins as our cap...

That for 30 years we have been trying to produce a good OL. How is that possible? Some teams can replace their whole OL in one year and play better than ours seems to ever do.

Should we maybe when Fitz and Palmer retires, put that money if getting top FA OLmen and stop wasting draft picks on them and filling in with rejects. Draft our QB and top WR to replace LF and spend as much as it takes to build an OL and a solid backup OL to go with it. Spend the rest on keeping our RB and on D. The end!

Agree, he looked like he was running in mud last night, slow as hell.
