Sorry, done arguing with you because now you’re just ignoring the basis of the argument. He DID risk everything to play football without getting paid. That is just a fact. You’re choosing to ignore that because it doesn’t support your narrative. There are other things to question Murray on. You’ve failed miserably in trying to spin this false narrative effectively.

Fact .Murray was being paid by Oakland. So acting like he had no dollars incoming is wrong.

But why isnt there any game footage is what I'm asking
Because like most college QBs they play in a set offense. So there’s only footage of that offense. Again, just like Baker. Oklahoma’s offense had few under center snaps. Similar to Mariotta. Same with Luke Falk. Same with Alex Smith. Same with Cam Newton. Few had much of any game film taking drops from center because it wasn’t a basis for their offense.

So the argument shouldn’t be “he can only run the spread” bc that’s all there’s film on . . . that’s faulty deductive reasoning. You could argue “we don’t know if he’d be successful running anything other than the spread” bc that’s all he’s done and I wouldn’t quibble with that. But there’s no evidence in existence that he can only run a spread offense. At least none that I’ve seen.

Bah this is silliness. Every single player who had this option - wait, what? KYLER IS THE FIRST EVER TO BE IN THIS POSITION?!? Must be some kind of athlete . . .

Finishing my thought, anyone that could ever find themselves in similar position would do the same. If Bo hadn’t blown out his knee think the raiders would’ve been upset? Think any team was upset with Deion?
It's the flip side to the coin. I think being fearful in this situation doesn't lead to anything good.. focus on the positives. The kid is a super talent, and it's obvious based on the fact he is ready to make history as a professional athlete. That excites me.. scares others.

Beg your pardon but Bo Knows Brian Jordan Deon Sanders he is very far from the first in fact those guys Did it!! Bo actually had a hip condition too so he probably would not have been to play much longer than he did But Man what a Talent Remember Him very well watching him run for those long touchdowns then smack a 500 foot homer for Kc even I loved it and I hate both teams
I beg your pardon, that post makes no sense.

Hmm I’m going to challenge this statement. There are tons of draft sites. I challenge you to give me 5 quotes and links to that statement. Remember, you stated this as a fact.

It's kinda why I made the thread with this clip. It actually illustrates these very points... and to show the article came off a little harsher than what the writer actually expressed with Eisen.

You see a guy you think can make history (History?being the shortest QB in 30 years)History hadn't been kind to short QBs.I question him being a starting QB for only 1 year.I question his "all-in$ on football.I question his size and durability in the NFL.I question his throwing to WRs who won't have a 5 yard cushion.I question his ability to handle not having a top notch OLine protecting him.I question the baggage he brings with a Daddy control freak.Show me all those things can be done and then I will be convinced.

There isnt much history of short QBs. Up until Brees, short QBs never got a legitimate really.

So it's a farce to claim a bunch failed when they never really got a chance.

I get it..that's why we will just have to agree to disagree. I dont think there is any poster on this board who can change your mind..and thats ok. No anti Murray poster is going to change mine..that's ok too. :raccoon:

And there has been a reason there hasn't been a bunch of short QBs.

Deion playing both sports was one of the biggest dramas in sports at times. Both of his teams were pissed at him at different times, particularly when his baseball team made the post season, despite having understandings about the division of time supposedly worked out in writing or understanding.

Plus like others have mentioned, being a QB is much different than RB or D/ST. Rosen is reporting for OTAs right now and training camp is in the middle of the baseball season and then it's preseason. I don't see how a QB can play both sports unless they are playing a small fraction of the games in a MLB season.

I’ve been watching Murray’s baseball highlights... He’ll lay down a bunt single then hit a rocket HR where the outfielders don’t move. He hit .300 with 10 HR’s in less than 200 at bats and was known as a speed player. He ended up a top-10 pick and was even better at football. Doesn’t mean anything in terms of his NFL prospects but dude absolutely a generational talent. Plz move the the D’Backs forum if need be.

It's really kinda ridiculous if you think about it.. I don't know if we will ever see this kind of situation again. Just as the anti Murrays don't want to risk his baseball situation, I think his pure talent is too much to pass on for the associated risk of fleeing football.

Double the wins? If they can promise that’s the ratio for the rest of their careers seems like a slam dunk to pick him unless they’re both going to suck forever.

Or you can look at it as one more win in a prediction. Which means absolutely nothing.

It's a farce to include the still taller, Brees, and KM in the same sentence.

I think Murrau wants fame which football can get him, which then comes money, which then comes women. Murray loves the women. There is my shallow observation and I support the man lol
