Why? Are you interested in my "******"?

Just took it down to your level. Somehow you took a football thing and turned it personal. So far you don't understand Quisling or the " ****** " aliteration. Open your mind. I've seen your act before.

Actually I didn't make it personal. I said your claim (not you) was ********. And it was. Plenty of centers (even though irrelevant) have been drafted first day.

Okay Fine. I take 100 % of the blame for thinking you called me and my claim ******** (a socially sensitive term). Some might be inclined to say, " respectfully disagree with your analysis " . No room for error.

Quisling, Vidkun (1887-1945), Norwegian politician, whose collaboration with the Nazis...during World War II (1939-1945) made his name synonymous with traitor. In the 1930s he found the Nationa Union, a Fascist party that received subsidies from Germany. After the Nazi invasion of Norway in 1940 the National Union was declared the only legal party. The Germans installed Quisling as prime minister in 1942 and throughout the war he collaborated with the Nazis. Quisling was tried and executed after the war.

I agree that this draft deserved a B. I think we should have wheeled and dealed a little more. I don't think we would have had to give up much for Stephen Jackson. I think Graves has a certain amount of "loyalty" to Emmitt Smith so that might be a reason why we didn't get him at RB.

Personally, I agree with him. Those that give this draft an "A" are being homers. I think that you have to "wheel and deal" a little bit to earn that "A". This was just a solid, if unspectacular draft. I'm still unsure why we took two centers in a row and no cornerbacks.

Hey our draft this year is off the charts in the positive direction compared to our drafts the last few years. I give it an A++++.

I don't know. None of the players that we've drafted have played a down.

You can't compare a draft against a history of futility (Heck, Bryant, Jones, Wadsworth, etc. were viewed as fabulous picks), you have to compare it to the rest of the draft, team needs, and what was also available. Compared to some other teams (like the Lions, Falcons, Pats, Cowboys, etc.), the Cards had a good draft, but not a great one.

The draft, to me, was a B. Above average, but not excellent.

The value the Cards got in their 2nd and 3rd round picks was so extreme, it prevented us from trading down. Thank god we didn't do what Dallas did.

Trade down and they didn't take the best player available, Stephen Jackson, and ended up with picks and I'm sorry but Julius Jones instead of Jackson. They BLEW their first round, by trying to be sneaky, kind of alaa AZ last year IMO.

Dansby was extreme value, so was Dockett, both should've been drafted in the 1st by talent alone, Dockett fell because of character issues, it still doesn't mean we didn't get value.

After the first 3 picks, it's very hard to trade down, espescially since Denny and Rod said they didn't want more picks, they're at 83 with only 4 UDFAs.

I agree with Jeffs line up there. I give Denny and Rod an A++++ for executing their plan, something I haven't seen the Cardinals have for many years.

If we have ANY pass rush at all this year - thanks to Bert Berry & hopefully Denny lit a fire under our other DL asses - our CBs just have gotten significantly better.

Thats a big if!

The Cowboys?

What draft were you watching? They blew it. Classic example of trying to get too cute, trade down, have Denver take your guys (Bell) 2 picks before you and then get stuck with Julius Jones. The Cowboys failed miserably imo.

I do agree that the Falcons and Lions both had good drafts (especially the Falcons).

I agree on the grade. I would give the Cards a solid B maybe a B+ b/c of the great value they got in both rounds 3 and 4, and I like Dansby a lot!

On paper I like this draft, but will reserve judgement until I see everybody up in Camp this summer.

Where did you come from?

He called me ******** first. Na na na na na na. Sometimes if you come in at the beginning of a thread or go back and read the beginning, you won't make embarassing statements like the one you just made.

Anyway, I don't think I like you either. You are not enlightening.

Try a little humor honey. :p

I really like the first 4 picks - all seem like above value guys. The top three could all be starters. Why we selected pick #5 is a mystery to me. And Navarre won't make the roster unless Parsons is let go. Parsons really hasn't had a chance yet.

Read the writing on the wall: Parsons is outta here. Him and KVB will be put on the same bus out of Flagstaff.

3rd String QBs don't get "chances". They have to make their marks and seize the initiative. Parsons has pretty obviously failed to do that.

I agree.

Like I said earlier, they will bring Navarre in for 2 years and see if he progress's more than Parsons did. If not, he will be replaced buy someone else.

Being a 3rd string qb you better 'WOW' some people, and he hasnt done that!

I think what we have is competition and King better show something or he may not be the #2 QB.

Homers give Cards an A?

Kiper gave the Vikes an A and they drafted a guy with a shoulder injury. If the Vikes can get an A why shouldn't the Cards.
They got the best WR in the draft. Maybe the best player and even if he doesn't become a superstar he will be a solid pro he wont bust.
The second best OLB much better OLB then the Vikes got.
A C who Brandt said would have gone round 2 in round 4. He can play G too.
A 6th round pick who was the 3rd best player at his position.
A 3rd round passrusher with 1st round talent.
And a guy who started at Michigan for 3 1/2 years the 6th best QB and 3rd round material.
There biggest reach in the 5th round was projected to go in the 4th and is a good ST player.

That is a hell of a draft.

Yeah, no kidding. The majority of the Ohio St/Miami/Oklahoma/Texas fans on this board have little to no credibility with me when it comes to judging players from their schools and their rivals.

Yeah....and I hope I hit a HOMER about Step.

For the record (and I hate Michigan) Navarre may be the steal of the draft. TSN had him as high as round 3. He sure carved our arse up the last game of the year....then again though he didn't look so hot in their bowl game....he is a great golfer so he should love Arizona....and he wasn't born in Michigan.
