To start with, I felt the cold weather was very forboding for the Cardinals That was minny weather more than it was Cardinal weather. And the tailgaiting scene was very subdued, compared to all the other "significant" games I've attending. I didn't like the vibe from the outset.

Once inside the stadium, I felt that same sense of disconnect from Card fans in general. A sort of distraction from the game. Don't know exactly what it was. Not dissing on any one fan in particular, just something I sensed yesterday that I hadn't sensed before.

Early on I saw that same "unsure" posture, body language, from Kurt that I talked about last week. He needs to sit the NE game, IMO.

Boldin, as mentioned in another thread, has not been the same since the philly game. It was a hit to his facemask, if you all can recall, that really seemed to have shaken his desire. Almost like he felt the original injury all over again, only this time it got to him. I think that was the philly game where he took that hit to the facemask.

I think those two early challenges showed that the coaching staff was equally distracted from the task at hand yesterday. Never should have been done.

Anyway, hope we can right the ship.

Why the hell was the roof open by the way? We know this team plays better indoors yet we just give our home field advantage away, this team just does some bizarre things.

Because the temperature was less than 75 degrees and there was only a 10% chance of rain.

I saw a lot of guys with silly hats and long golden locks of hair.

:yeahthat: It looked like a Vegas Cross-dressing Convention.

I asked one guy in our section, who was made up like the Valkyrie Brunhilda, if he was really actually there just for the football.

Just another reason why Cardinals fans and some of the management as a whole are the worst in Pro Football.

Here was a thread about it from earlier this week. http://www.arizonasportsfans.com/vb/f4/close-the-roof-124782.html Does it surprise you that some of our biggest fans/posters recognize that opening the roof lessons our advantage yet they prefer it it that way anyhow?

If we can't win at home when they open a tiny crack in the roof, then we are not winning when we go on the road and have to play in a real open air stadium.

Seriously, you think honestly believe that closing the roof would have made any difference yesterday?

That's just rediculous. If the team needs a closed roof in order to perform at 100% then it's a "them" problem. Don't go blaming the fans who pay good $$ to see them in a comfortable atmosphere.

Disgusted...and Disgusting

Here is what I saw:

A LOT of purple. Thanks, sellouts.

I saw the idiot next to me throw up halfway into the first quarter and get escorted out. I saw that his tailgating included lots of Mexican food and beer. I saw a cleanup crew finally show up halfway through the second quarter.

I saw a couple of Minnesota jerks in front of me taunted alot of season ticket holders. I saw SAFE come give them a warning.

I saw the same idiots take off their shirts and start humping the handrail to celebrate the Vikings' 4th touchdown.

I saw 650 pounds of flesh between them and one of them seemed to still be wearing a sweater even though his shirt was off.

I saw SAFE escort them both out of the game before halftime.

I saw the same two idiots allowed to come back to their seats by the end of the 3rd quarter, even after SAFE assured their neighbors that they were gone.

I saw more people looking at blackberries than watching the game.

Oh, and if I had had a mirror, I would have seen a completely embarrassed fan.

Still, all of this was preferable to watching the Cardinals on the field yesterday. In them I saw a team unworthy of the playoffs. Just an overall sucky experience for me at the Nest this time around.

Yes, one of the reasons the Cards lost yesterday was because the roof was open. :sarcasm::deadhorse2:
Can we stop with this roof open/closed nonsense already. If having the roof open or closed somehow helps or hinders this team in terms of actually having anything, even .00009% of a chance of affecting whether they win or lose, then they should be embarrassed and ashamed and shouldn't be called football players.

Does anybody know if it was the coaches call to open the roof? He knows that whoever we play in the playoffs is going to have an open stadium so why not let this team start getting used to it. Sure they play better with a closed roof. But we for sure only have one game come january in a closed roof. Maybe he thought they should start playing with it open.

I also saw a good number of hot blond chicks wearing Vikings jerseys.
Funny the difference between Vikings chicks and Packers chicks.

Vikings chick = Hot Blond Norwegian chick wearing a fitted woman's Vikings jersey

Packers chick = Large German woman named Bertha wearing a large slice of cheese on her head. Proceeds to eat the cheese at halftime.

regardless of how you feel about the roof and whether or not if affects the game, it sure was a beautiful overcast sky yesterday. The sunlight intermittingly shining down on the upper level seats was quite a site.

Hell of a nice stadium that we got folks.

Whatever, think what you want, Warner plays well in controlled dome environments correct? How did Warner play by the way? This team is not good enough to just surrender any advantage they have over teams. The Vikings are used to playing in cold weather and it sure showed yesterday. The Cardinals are not used to playing in cold weather and it sure showed yesterday.

It was like in the 50's and breezy yeah thats cold to guys that live out here. Look around most people were bundled up. Point is you do whats best for the team and the teams chances to win. And as a fan that was there and paid for my tickets I would have damn well like to not be cold and bundled up when we have a freaking dome that could have been nice inside.

This is crazy! I lived in AZ for 30 plus years, 50 and breezy is not cold and had no part in 28-0. None whatsoever. If you are right, and it did affect the players, I need to find a new team.

the Vikings play in a dome stadium and one of their other two guaranteed games a year is in another dome. They're no more used to playing in cold weather than we are. They're just better equipped to do so because they can run the ball and get pressure on the QB.

and yesterday wasn't cold. It was 59 degrees outside. it was perfect weather for football.
