That's just rediculous. If the team needs a closed roof in order to perform at 100% then it's a "them" problem. Don't go blaming the fans who pay good $$ to see them in a comfortable atmosphere.
Fans pay to see the game, period. I paid far more to see the Ravens play last night in 30* weather than you pay to see them in the 70's anyhow. Be glad that Cardinal ticket prices are so cheap. The money issue here is irrelevent.

Nobody said anything about the team being at 100%, but please tell me when the last time we won a game in crap weather was. It is a fact that Warner produces better in a dome, as he has throughout his career. He is the most important player on our team. The whole point to a home game (other than revenue) is to give your team the biggest advantage possible. Other teams play to their strengths (Green Bay, Minnesota, Parcells Giants), why shouldn't we?

The biggest problem I have with this is that you guys act like you are paying to see a show or something and that your comfort level is the first priority. Winning should make you comfortable, and the putting our team in the best position to win should put you at peace IMO.

BTW- How wouyld it be less comfortable in the dome?

:bim: ridiculous

the Vikings play in a dome stadium and one of their other two guaranteed games a year is in another dome. They're no more used to playing in cold weather than we are. They're just better equipped to do so because they can run the ball and get pressure on the QB.

and yesterday wasn't cold. It was 59 degrees outside. it was perfect weather for football.
Or just mabe that the most important player on their team is a RB, and not a QB who has been argueably the BEST QB IN HISTORY when in good weather with no wind and plays noticably worse below 65 and when outdoors.

Also, how is 59* "perfect football weather"??? Who decides what perfect football weather is???

Cheese the Vikings play back east and in cold weather environments MUCH more than the Cards. And your missing the point if our team plays better in a dome then in a damn dome they should be playing. It was freakin cold I never said thats the reason we lost but it sure as hell didn't help. We all know how Warner plays inside compared to outside or in the elements as it were, for us to have to roof open on a gloomy cold ass day in phoenix was just dumb. It was cold for you to say it wasn't is just your opinion I am sure the 30 to 40 thousand people that were bundled up would disagree with you.

really nice calling out people who have sweated and shivered in whatever games have been played over the last 20 years at whatever stadium cheering for this wretched team are some of "the worst in the pro football." jesus. what a freaking jerk.
Uh yeah, since when is it any secret that as a whole, Cards fans have sucked the last twenty years?? This cant be the first time your hearing this. I'm not blaming anyone, just pointing it out. Also, I never said all of the fans sucked, just the majority.

Oops I didn't see the screen name. As usual you were just looking for a chance to take a personal shot at someone. I get it, carry on cool guy.

I could give a rat's buttock region if the dome is closed or open. But complaining about the roof being open in Arizona and slamming Cards fans who have had to put up with a crappy product for years is a whiny baby move. and telling folks how they should feel is totally lame-o. Enjoy your Baltimore experience.

It was like in the 50's and breezy yeah thats cold to guys that live out here. Look around most people were bundled up. Point is you do whats best for the team and the teams chances to win. And as a fan that was there and paid for my tickets I would have damn well like to not be cold and bundled up when we have a freaking dome that could have been nice inside.

Agreed that was why I wanted to draft Adrian Peterson in the first place.

Perhaps we should have Kurt play in a plastic hamster-bubble with an opening just large enough to let the football through.

If Kurt cannot play up to the best of his abilities unless it is 72 degrees, with no wind and nary a cloud in the sky (or can only play in climate controlled domes) then I hope we have seen the last of him in a Cardinals uniform after this season is over. Pathetic.

Its not really about Kurt that much, its about a team that plays better in a dome and knows it. But yet make decisions like having the roof open on a cold day in december rather than playing to their strength and having it closed. I understand we will be playing in the elements but when you don't have to and your playing for a better seed its just a dumb decision, its an ARIZONA CARDINALS home game do whats best for the HOME team geesh.

There is no proof that we play better with the roof closed. This is the dumbest argument ever. When the roof is opened it is equivalent to a moon roof. If you think that little opening in the roof caused the defense to play like they didn't care, I say your crazy. Our team would have been creamed in a humidor yesterday. So lets quit blaming uninspired football on something as silly as the roof.

If it were legal and Kurt thought it would help his play then I would be all for it.

Thats fine, but while he is here its just STUPID to not play to his strengths. Every good team in history has done the same for their QBs, why do yoiu guys insist on putting yourself before the team? Do you think GB fans wouldn't be more comfortable in a dome? Of course they would, but they dont want one because it would hurt their team's HOMEFEILD ADVANTAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I never said I care about the dome, Warner did. I just said you play to your QB's strengths as much as possible like every other team.

I didn't make anything personal, but since we are on a computer and thousands of miles away from each other you cant resist name-calling. Way to man-up!!!!!!!!

Stop acting like you deserve a cookie for supporting your hometown team and I should bow down because you live in Arz. I have been a fan of them since they were the STL Cards, so do I get a brownie or something?

I'm not telling you how to feel. What I am saying is IF YOU PUT YOUR COMFORT LEVEL BEFORE YOUR TEAM'S SUCCESS THEN STAY HOME ON YOUR COUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Cardinals, as usual, are already one step ahead on this idea.

Originally planned as a safety devise to protect Matt Leinart from being accosted by hyper-active Scottsdale area Cougars (as seen here), the bubbles can be fitted with a tube-like structure which will allow for the passing of football sized objects and/or bodily fluids as the need might arise.

The women's bubble is also being adapted for emergency usage by the Cardinal cheerleaders, too. Hopefully, using this space age technology, the cheerleaders will be able to continue cheering no matter what the conditions are with the roof open, even if the temperatures were to drop to an arctic-like 65 degrees or worse.

I doubt the roof being open hurt us very much, but the mass ticket scalping by you Cardinal fans in AZ certainly made matters worse. Way to give up the 12th man. Watching on TV here in Ohio I could hear "Let's go Vikings" on numerous occasions. Unacceptable.

Wow. You should really check that Turbo. We aren't any happier than others about the scalping. Try and find anyone here that scalped and have at him but don't lump me into it. Where has your ass been?

How dare you insult the great fans in ARZ? They are the only real fans of the team. They live there. They watch the home games for free and have to pay a whopping 1/2 or 3/4 of what most fans pay for tickets to see their home teams. They always pack the stadium and never sellout to the opposing team. Us out of towners should just find a concrete wall to run into or some good VD to infect ourselves w/.

I'm not saying that but we are the ones in the seats. We aren't the ones selling our tickets. Sure, some complain about the roof but they are still there in the seats yelling their asses off. :edit:

I agree that most of the posters here probably dont sellout, but the constant attitude by many on here towards the out of state fans is very annoying.

It's BS to call out the people that are in the seats.

The attitude comes from the out of staters calling out the people in the seats.

How many times do I have to tell people that probably a quarter to a third of the tickets at PUP are in the hands of brokers and businesses. You saw the empty seats at the Rams game. They were empty because the Rams fans didn't want them and the game didn't draw enough interest for clients to be asking for tickets.

The real Car*inal fans were at the game. Its the casual, only go to the cool games, and opponents fans who didn't show. I see that at Texas games all the time. The people who actually own many of the prime seats only go to the big games and give their seats away for Rice.

This is why I'd like to see Atlanta or Tampa as our wildcard opponents. I don't' think they have enough fans in the Valley to buy or beg those seats.

Not in the valley but I think that at least the Bucs fans will travel.

I can't wait until the Seahawks game so I can lay into the couple next to me that gave their tickets Vikings fans.

Hey watch it. I'm an out of stater and a people in the seats.

:D
Yeah, very sorry. And I'm also sorry to all of the out-of-state fans. I know that most of you are just as, if not more, die hard than me. Just remember that when you see red in the stadium, it's us. We aren't the ones selling out.
