Well it wasn't the start I hoped or expected thats for sure.

I saw our team score on the first drive since 1997 that was cool.

I saw Boldin show flashes of absolute NFL 1.000.000.000 watt stardom.

I saw a good QB not turn it over until the 4th quarter that was refreshing for a change.

I saw a new coordinator not know how fast to call the plays and I am sure that will get fixed still it wasn't fun to watch. The plays themselves were pretty good.

Bottom line I saw our coaching staff get out coached again by another coaching staff.

I saw a young team that needs better coaching that is what I saw.

I like Mac really I do but to suggest that who he has in place has no bearing on why this team continually does dumb things is frankly silly. Maybe he is just too nice to fire the real problem coaches but our special teams are just terrible. That is the coach we have plenty of players now and depth is good so the coach IS the problem.

I will exucse Sully this game for not getting the plays in on time that can be chalked up to inexperience but if game management plagues this offense anymore then I'd have to say Mac needs to go.

Sully got the plays in fast enough. Blake was far too deliberate getting the team lined up, in motion and snapping the ball in time.

Good post. I agree with your observations and am still sitting here wondering how we lost this game by 18 points.

The clock management thing was shameful. You can bet that will be worked on.
