Ruthless People. Watched it earlier this evening. The movie has aged well and is still a fun watch, IMO.

Patriot Games. I might watch the Goonies today, or instead go see White House Down (yes, it's getting creamed) before the evening, and then I get to see Jaws in the theater late tonight.

The most recent movie I remember seeing was Arnold's latest, The Last Stand. It was actually enjoyable for a bad action flick.

That movie was filmed here in the valley. A friend of mine is in it as a Saudi soldier. He actually had one line (in Arabic) when they were looking for evidence at the bomb site.

The portion of the freeway they filmed the capture chase on was right by my fire house (Recker and Virginia). There was a fellow fire fighter named Dan Alba that had a bit part in it. Much of the "town" filming was done on sets constructed at Williams Gateway Airport.

Used Cars was filmed in Mesa 27 years earlier. Also Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure in the 80's. Stagecoach, Vegas Vacation, Wayne's World and other films have also shot scenes in Mesa.

What about Charro with Elvis? That had scenes filmed out by Superstition...does that count as Mesa? If so, add Jerry McGuire too.

The heat. I try to go to the movies every weekend by myself early Saturday so I can sit in the empty theater and watch the movie in peace how I like it
