When I first read this comment, I thought to myself.....huh? This site or any of its predecessors has never been over-run by opposing teams fans. Yes, last year there were a few obnoxiou Philly fans that made some weak attempts at "talking some smack" here. But they have far from "overrun" any of these sites.
It made me wonder where that comment "came from". I then noticed Sect 11 joined these forums Oct. 11, 2002. He wasn't even here most of last season. (at least not as a registered poster).
Which then led me to another observation in regard to many of the posters here:
For those of you who were not here at the beginning, this site essentially came into being in May, 2002. I think its accurate and safe to say it was an outgrowth of the AZPROSPORTS board, which Alan, Mike and Bob Chebat had started, which in turn evolved from the old Rivals board.

anyone notice a trend here?
I don't know all of those who have professed to be "darksiders" are, but what I do see is that the people you could call the "leaders" of that "group"....are are not those who have been here a long time....relatively speaking.
The only exception I see, off the top of my head, is Azcardsfan1616...I think he identifies with the darksiders, although, I'm not totally sure on that...and he has been here since May, 2002.
My point to all this:
The people who have been here since the site started, and many of them long before that....aren't the people pidgeonholing themselves into the darksider group.
Certainly not all have seen eye to eye on many things, to be sure, but neither do they seem to be primarily motivated by an identification with a "group" that some of the newer posters seem to deem important.
What some of you proclaimed "darksiders" seem to overlook is that some of those that don't agree with YOUR views are the very ones who WERE HERE, AND HELPED MAKE THIS SITE something that YOU eventually came to frequent. It was these people along with Skkorp and those who have worked with him to post articles and monitor the forums, that made this site what it is.
