This is kinda funny, the movie itself was cheesy in the first half, but it didn't end cheesy--they left the cheese behind in the backseat of that jalopy.

Another vote for The Postman. Very much a "groan moment".

They didn't seem to bothered by the freezing water when he was handcuffed to the pipe. Somehow the water that had flooded the boat was warm.

At least the fellow asteroid/comet-crashing into the earth disaster movie "Deep Impact" had them only being partially successful - much less cheese factor in that one.
