Horton still coaches from up there right? I thinks it the best way he can see the field, and might be one of the reasons why he ajusts so well during the game. Besides Jerry Jones :D, I can't think of any head coaches that coached from up above, and not on the field. As far as Horton's resume goes, it's the only draw back I have and I am Horton's biggest fan. All we had was redzone defense before Ray got here.

Sean Payton did it when he had that leg injury. As a regular occurrence, I can't remember a single one.

It is a hell of a long way to throw a challenge flag LOL...yes, yes, I know he would then have another guy on the field delegated to do it for him. But seriously, a coach has to be on the field to talk to ALL his players and get the attention and responses of officials during a game.

What I like about Horton is that he LIVES outside the box. He doesn't believe in "this is the way it is done, and their is no other way".

Win.

Al Davis' best quote, "Just win baby".

Horton can sit on his front porch and watch the games from a TV if he wins games doing so, IMO.

Booth, smooth.

If Horton is the right guy, and the Cardinals believe so, then give him the job. He has shown what he can do, and in my personal opinion he has earned the right to be a Head Coach.

I do not think he lives outside of the box, in the fact that he does not seem to be constantly changing things drastically from what he already had in his playbook. He did not really change what he wanted to do on defense in the beginning, he just held back on his already decided playbook it seemed for the most part till the players were finally able to handle it. I think he does live in his box (and enjoys the press box lol), as most coaches do with a conviction to an extent...and it is a very nice box at that which Ray Ray has built

Announced that Horton will delegate offensive and defensive responsibilities, so no reason he wouldn't be on the field.

He can throw his own damn challenge flag.
