The two teams that expect to finish 1-2 in the NFC West, whether it be Seattle or AZ.

The Cardinals because they are catching Seattle after a poor showing last weekend and still have not answered questions regarding their offensive line. If they were to go into Seattle later in the season it would be harder for them to compete against a team as talented as Seattle once they start rolling.

Seattle having their home opener against one of the better division rivals lets them make a statement with a victory but a loss could prove difficult going into Arizona later in the season. They will be able to get their running game going with a weaker Arizona defense.

I say Seattle because they will be going into AZ later in the season with possible playoffs on the line

A win for Arizona would be huge..First of all they would be 2-0 in the West. They would have won 2 games in a row..the first time in a long time. They would have won what should be arguably the hardest roadgame in tthe division. And they would have proven to all the naysayers that the Cardinals are on the right track. It would be a huge victory..unfortuanely I just don't see it happening..The Seahawks are awfully tough to beat especially at home...

Definitely us because it would help legitimize this team if we beat the defending NFC champs in their stadium.

The Cards would definitly be the biggest gainer should they win or if they lose they have more than just this game to be concerned about. If we lose the talking heads will say they are not up to the challange., same old Cards, etc, etc. If they win this whole town will be talking about the fact that we are a real team to take the west.

It depends on how the game goes, not just the outcome.

1. If the Cards win, regardless of how or by how much, it's a huge positive.

2. If Seattle ekes out a victory, they will really begin to worry, especially if Alexander has another poor game.

3. If Seattle blows us out, they breathe a sigh of relief and begin feeling better about themselves.

Just don't anyone say Seattle, or Tom Jackson (rightfully) will ask if you're ********.

I totally disagree with you. Read the question again... What team benefits more this weekend from a Victory?

If the Cardinals lose, it will have been expected. I will echo what Skkorp has said, should Arizona lose to Seattle the impact/benefit of that game will depend upon how the game was played. If the Cardinals play well and lose narrowly not much damage is done. But if they are blown out it could signal the beginning of a downward spiral! Should the Cardinals win, the story likely would be that they stole one. The Cardinals will benefit from playing well and keeping it close, win or lose.

For the Cardinals the win-loss outcome of next weeks contest versus the Rams is more significant. The home game versus the Rams is a game the Cardinals must win to be considered a contender. They can lose to Seattle and beat St. Louis and still be at 2-1, with two of the next three at home.

The Seahawks playing at home, after playing poorly in the opener against Detroit, must make a statement game if they hope to maintain any momentum from last year's championship season. Losing at home to the Cardinals would re-establish the pecking order in the NFC West. The Seahawks can't allow that to happen.

The Cardinals will benefit from a win, the Seahawks benefit more...

Okay, CardLogic, you forced my hand. Are you ******** (meant only in the most humorous way)?

What team benefits more this weekend from a victory?

If Seattle wins, they have done exactly as everyone expects. They benefit some, but it isn't as if it's earth shattering.

If Arizona wins, the Rodney Dangerfield of the NFL suddenly makes head turn.

To say that the Seahawks benefit more from a win than the Cards do is just nuts. It would be correct to say that the Seahawks would be more hurt by a loss than the Cards would, but that isn't what the question was.

A Seattle loss hurts them a lot more than a loss would hurt the Cards. Thus, the Cards benefit more from a win.

Imo its the Cardinals who would benefit most from a win this weekend if they can find a way to win this game it will show their for real and are indeed ready to make a push for the playoffs lets hope it happens :)

 Lloyd, you ignorant ****! :)D j/k - borrowed the line from Chevy Chase)

Say what you will... If the Cardinals win it causes more people to be asking, "What's wrong with the Seahawks??? They barely beat Detroit, and lost to the Cardinals; the two crappiest franchises in the NFL!!! " They will still not be singing the Cardinals praises.

Cardinals will benefit from beating the Seahawks, of course. But my point is that a loss is not a killer for them. It is not a must win.. The following week against the Rams is. This game is more of a must win situation for the Seahawks, therefore the greater benefit in winning.

I don't think you're looking at the whole picture. Sure everyone thinks the Seahawks will win(rightfully so) and as such a loss would hurt them much more than the Cards(especially since it's on their homefield).

The way I look at it is a loss hurts the Seahawks more than a win helps the Cards. So the Seahawks benefit more by winning(or avoiding the loss) imo.

It's kind of a loaded , half empty half full question. Obviously the team that wins "benefits".
That being said, if Seattle wins , it's business as usual.

BUT, if the Cards win, it would mean going 2-0 not only in the standing but in division play. It would be a road victory, and there is no telling what that would do for this teams confidence and mind set.

So along those lines a win would benefit the Cards more.
