What the hell does this mean?

Now this is the kind of stuff thsat drives me nuts:

"But even McGinnis' always-upbeat attitude is being tested. Asked if he was going to take his wife out to dinner during last weekend's bye, McGinnis said, "Kim doesn't want to be around me right now. She does not like being around me right now, and it's not her fault. I'm a jackass right now, a double jackass."

Is that suppossed to give life to the fans? The team? He looks at himself like a jackass after we were promised "big changes" during the bye. Nothing has changed, the same coaches and bad game plans remain in place and the coach has little more to say then "I'm a jackass". From the way they've been playing why doesn't he tell us something we don't know?

Easy now. Coach Mac was just answering a question about whether he goes out in public during the season and how the fans react to him. When he says he "feels like a jackass" he was just telling the reporter how he feels when the team is losing. If I was a member of a team that was 1-5, I'd feel like a jackass too.

What does it mean?

Mac's in a piss poor mood.

His wife doesn't even want to be around him.

Because he's being a double jackass.

I don't think that's what he meant, but that's a matter of opinion. Getting mad in private isn't going to help anything.

Sorry to disagree with you Chicard, but I think most people would agree with what Renz said and that was exactly what he meant. Come on man if you don't like Mac that's fine but don't try to twist his words to fit your perception. We are all disappointed with the season to this point and you know what I'm a double Jack-ass to be around after a cardinal loss myself.

There's no doubt in my mind he meant he's grumpy, short tempered, in a pissy mood, angry and frustrated. How often were you called a "double jackass" because YOU were in the type of mood Mac must be in? Happened plenty of times to me!!!
