Opening Day is finally here!
While fans got a small taste of the start of the 2025 season with the "Tokyo Series" between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago Cubs, now it's time for the first pitch for the rest of the MLB.
Here's everything you need to know as the Philadelphia Phillies get set to start the season on the road in a quest for the franchise's third World Series Title.
The MLB season kicked off with the Los Angeles Dodgers facing the Chicago Cubs in a two-game "Tokyo Series" in Japan, which started Tuesday, March 18. The Dodgers swept the two-games series.
Traditional MLB Opening Day will be on Thursday, March 27, with 28 teams in action.
The Phillies will open the 2025 season in Washington against the Nationals on March 27.
First pitch of the Phillies-Nationals game is set for 4:05 p.m.
How to watch the Phillies on Opening Day
Phillies manager Rob Thomson announced that Zack Wheeler will start Opening Day against the Nationals. It will be Wheeler's second straight Opening Day start for the Phils.
The Phillies will hold their home opener at Citizen Bank Park on March 31. The Phillies will open against the Colorado Rockies.
Philadelphia's first home weekend series will be April 4-6 against the Dodgers.
