The way I see it there is two possible scenarios that happen in Oakland as a result of the Monday Night Meltdown.

The worst being the Cards players are so demoralized that they just don't care anymore and simply go through the motions. While they may even win the game it is too close for comfort. I personally don't think this will happen.

What I hope happens is this team is so sick and tired of losing that they come into Oakland with a chip on their shoulders. I want them to channel that anger onto the Raiders. I want the defense to T off on the Oakland offense and we see a defensive performance like we did on Monday night.

I want the offense to light up the score board. They should realize by now that this is a passing team. Instead of handing the ball off to Edge we use the short pass to get him the ball. We need to score everytime the offense gets the ball and never let up. I want to see the score run up as high as it can go.

:deadhorse2:

Then when we do win this game, I don't want to see the Cardinals players Celebrate. I want them to carry that same anger onto Green Bay!

it's a roadie, so I expect a loss - until proven otherwise, I go with the chalk.

If there was ever a time to turn things around now is the time. The Raiders are beyond bad. I believe this game in Oakland is will be the defining point as to where this team is going. I believe that the Cardinals win big this week. Then they put together a nice winning streak on the road which we haven't seen since they moved to Arizona.

I honestly believe that this team is close to making the jump from a bad team to a good team.

I feel the same way. If you are a Cards player and aren't completely embarrassed by losing the way they did then they should be cut immediately!

No effin mistakes! No stupid penalties! Show the world that the only fluke was you blowing the game!

Just win baby!

believe me, I hope you're right, and there's definitely the talent on this team to be good but there's one thing holding them back right now - the HC. That jump from bad team to good team will come when DG is fired and replaced by someone even moderately competent.

I hate that Tango was right.

They should win. Lets see if Green can motivate them and be able to save his job, at least for the season. I expect to see an offensive line worse than our which means Berry finally getting some sacks, Adrian Wilson boosting his chances to get into the Pro Bowl and the rest of the defense beating up on the non-mobile Andrew Walter. It should be an easy win. But it is the Cardinals and there's always a chance that they have a hangover from the last game.

Don't get me wrong - I think Denny should get canned unless we see massive improvement over the rest of the season and maybe should anyways as I do not think he's championship material. However, I think the biggest problem (and there are many) with the DG regime so far when it comes to coaching has been the complete uselessness of his assistant coaches both at the coordinator and position level.

Remember the McGinnis days many of our most important players would simply vanish from the NFL the day the Cardinals released them? Well, right now that's what it is like with our former assistant coaches.

Alex Wood, former offensive coordinator - QB coach for University of Arkansas
Everett Lindsay, former offensive line coach - Bueller?
Bob Wylie, former offensive line coach - OL coach for Syracuse University

Now part of this lies on Green for picking these guys as I beleive that you can find successful up-and-comers if you look hard enough, but we have heard ad nauseum about the strict budget Green got hamstrung with picking coaches. We might just be getting what we paid for.

I really believe the cardinals come out with murder in their eyes this sunday and find a way to beat Oakland

I think the team is desperate for a win.

But what I'm afraid of is that they will lose the week after.

Remember, Leinart will have a little extra motivation this week too after the Raiders passed on him in the draft. I think he's going to want to show them up pretty bad.

Well they did have Andrew Walter  *cough*QB rating of 43*cough*

To think someone said he was a better QB than Leinart too.

We should've traded a third round pick for him!

And there was more than one person who suggested Walter was a better QB than Leinart.

Hey remember this one...(poster to remain anonymous) "Im going to sound like a homer, but the Cards should have drafted him last year. His tools are better than Matt's he just did'nt have "USC" on his resume..." or better yet this one..."If Oakland takes a QB, whats your opinion of giving a 3rd or 4th for Walter? Big arm for this O' to learn from Warner. I would take a flyer on him if given the chance..."

I'm an ASU grad and I never liked Walter's prospects as a pro. Sometimes I wonder what people see when they watch football. I thought it was as obvious as it gets that Bush, Leinart and Young were the top 3 of the last draft. (Well, okay, I thought Ryan Leaf was going to be great and that Dave Ball would be an All Pro DE. :) )

Same guy. This thread could turn into a UofA vs. ASU debate again. It's about time for one. It's been a while.

It shouldn't dissolve in to that. I'm an ASU fan but I recognized early on that Walter didn't have a lot of pro potential. Its just some people are such homers for their favorite college they have blinders on.

Trust me, I know that first hand.

I think (hope anyway) that this is a different Cards team. This team just suffered the thougest loss in the league this season. A few years ago, the team might have responded by folding, but we have too many player with "it" on the team to do that. Q, Leinart, Hayes, Dockett, Edge, Berry, Wilson, Rolle won't let it happen.

If you follow teams that have played Chicago this year, the week after they played the Bears and lost, they have lost their next game.

The exception to this was that Seattle had a bye week following the Bears loss.

So history this season says that Oakland gets their first win Sunday

I'm no Sherlock Holmes, but I deduce that none of those teams played Oakland in the week following the game against the Bears.

I also deduce that of all the teams that played the Bears this year, the Cards were the only ones that whipped their butts until five minutes were left in the game.

We destroy Oakland no doubt in my mind.

I agree totally...this is one we KNOW we are supposed to win and NO ONE on this team will be putting on the breaks until the clock ticks down in the 4th Q...the people on this team like ML, Q, Hayes, E. Green and Dockett are going to be pretty fired up and the sentiment will work like osmosis with the rest...and after the game, they will talk and act like this is who we are and you won't see much celebrating...Next will be the focus on another beating at the expense of the Packers...I believe the real winners on this team will now take over and the results will be consistent...let's just hope the core of the team reflects the discipline and fire of the new OC and we start a run...what else can we hope for?
