Will the swagger of last week be lost today by NE's O marching up and down the field for a couple of scores by there 1's?

Will NE's D over-power and confuse the Cards OL, causing sacks, hurries, and turnovers?

Will Matt Leinart get hit, confused and look like someone who's light years from being ready to play in a "real" game?

Will any/all of the above happen and cause Cardinal nation to get that sinking feeling again?

Or will Arizona ADD to last weeks momentum and stand toe-to-toe with NE's first units?

These questions may go a long way to telling how far the Cards have grown, and just how far they have to grow (go) to get to respectability...

Should be interesting.

Don't teams normally use games 2 and 4 to look at the 2nd and 3rd string guys with the 3rd preseason game the one where the starters play more?

What I want to know is if the Cards want to risk their 50 million dollar investment behind the 2nd string Oline?

I'd give Warner a series and then let the Rookie play behind the first string line. Let Navarre and Davey suffer with the second teamers.

I sit in the north end zone ROH and like what I saw of Watson during that last drive by Pitt. They could not get a push on this guy on the line. I think he may be the steal in this draft outside of Leinart lasting till 10.

Will be interesting to see how much NE can run on this D.

These sure are slanted questions. You sound like a Pats fan. Each question could've easily read this way:

Will the swagger of last week be bigger today by NE's O not being able to march up and down the field for a couple of scores by there 1's?

Will NE's BANGED UP D BE over-powered and confused by the Cards OL, causing NO sacks, NO hurries, and NO turnovers? (ok that ones a stretch)

Will Matt Leinart NOT get hit, confused and look like someone who's ready to play in a "real" game?

Will any/all of the above happen and cause Cardinal FAITHFUL to get more optimistic again? (there is no Cardinal Nation, that lame name is saved for Red Sux fans)

In any event, either way ya look at it, this will be a good test for Leinart and our O-line

I don't think anything matters except no one getting hurt. It's pre-saeson.I doubt either team cares whether they win or not.

RFIP, take the above reply with a grain of salt. You are a relatively new poster, and these guys bang on everyone until they realize your style of posting. Keep adding to the discussion and keep cheering on the Cards.

1. Can we run the ball.

2. Really, can we run it?

3. No kidding; can we do it on the ground?

That plus no injuries.

I wasn't banging on him. I was just stating , as a Cards fan, I would've posted the questions differently, that's all. And I'm not saying RFIP isn't a Cards fan either.

I think they are gong to use EJ like they have used LT in San Diego. Give him a couple touches, and call it a day. They were saying on the telecast last night, that they are doing that more & more with the elite runners out there.

I'm pretty sure RFIP is a Rams fan. If I'm wrong about that RFIP, I apologize in advance for calling you a dirty name. :D

What I'm looking forward to:

1. The OL and (hopefully) continued improvement of the run game.

2. Leinart in his first NFL action.

3. The position battles:
- Darling vs. Hayes
- Bergen vs. Edwards vs. Pope
- Langston Moore Vs. Clancy
- Step vs. Leckey

4. To see if the surprises continue to flash their improvement from last year:
- Francisco
- BJ
- McCoy
- JJ
- Antonio Smith

5. Our new starters perform
- Pace
- M.Brown
- Egde

Some stuff I'm looking for

1. Will Lawrence Baloney be able to run on the Cardinals?

2. Can the first offensive unit score on the first or second possessions? How does the O-line look, pass protection and run-blocking?

3. Do Spurlock and Holiday have a future?

4. How does Matt Leinart look (as a FB player)?

5. Are special teams as improved as they seemed last week? Is Aaron Francisco still the coverage ace on KOs?

6. Was Diamond Ferri a one game wonder? If not, what does Chris Berman use... "Diamond in the rough" *or* "Ferri across the Mersey"?

7. Has the first-unit defense's tackling improved in the past week?

8. Can Bryant Johnson be as sharp this week as he was last?

9. Can Edgerin James produce a positive run behind this offensive line?

10. How will the Cardinals play ON THE ROAD?

It is about execution of plays and no injuries. A win is not even in the top five. I do admit successful execution reaks of winning doesn't it?

LOL! Yeah, I'm a die hard Ram fan ajcardfan! Have been for 30 years. But I am also a huge KW fan too. Many Ram fans don't like that fact, as most NFL fans "root for the jersey" I am one that, on occasion comes across an individual who so transends the sport that I will follow him (too). Kurt is such a person.

And he is a great QB to boot.

Most here (Cards board) have been insightful and kind. I certainly understand the ML affliction and if he turns out to be what most think he can, the Cards are on their way to several years of good furtune.
