I was wondering if either one would be worth buying?
Scott MS said:Both will be good because they will have a number of new features including:
1) Larger CPUs and graphics processing capabilities
2) Wireless controllers
3) More support for high definition formats
4) Internal hard drives and network adapters
In the end, it will be like PS1 and PS2, same basic system, but greater processing power. Each system will steal the best features from the other system so they will probably merge closer together.
If you are a computer guy, the GPUs in these system are so outdated at this point compared to the latest graphics cards you can guy from nVidia and ATI for the computer. Both systems are in need of technology upgrades.
In the end, buy a system based on the available game content for that platform.

I'm tempted to try out a console again but to be honest, I get enough from my PC to pass on the console market. There are certain games I would like to play that I can't on the PC though, like NCAA football. But it just isn't enough to push me towards a console.
Plus, its easy to play on the computer when my wife is able to watch TV. If I was playing on a console, that would mean my wife would be without the TV to hold her at bay. Thats a dangerous situation!
That all being said, I would probably pick the ps3 simply because I like the controller more.
Scott MS said:Computer gameplay is superior, if you get the right controllers, etc. Plus you can play some games in 1900x1200 resolution which I am doing. Also, Xbox is basically built off a PC platform.
Only issue with computer game playing is that not all titles are available for computer. Most xBox titles are, but most PS2 and GameCube are not.
