So with Q out and Fitz still unsure for the opener, not to mention Johnson rusty, are we going to see the 3WR set much?

If not will we go 2 TE's, single back or 1 TE, and a FB?

Emmitt has almost always played with a FB, seems to me the plan was he was going to be without a FB until the injury bug hit.

Are we going to run more than originally planned?

I think you will still see it a lot.

He was still running the 3 WR sets quite a bit in pre-season. No reason to believe he will change IMO.

I think(hope) Fitz will be back at full strength next week. With Johnson and say a Poole and Kasper we have the tools to run the O as planned. Or so I hope!

I am worried Poole wont get his chance.

If Fitz and Johnson are back I would like to see Poole, Fitz, and Johnson starting against the Rams.

Poole just flat-out catches everything and he is tough as nails.

I am gettign nervous at this point that Poole might not even be there.

He didn't catch everything yesterday and even had a fumble which may hurt his chances.

poole makes the team... who would even beat him? He really is only competing against Hamilton.. the cards will carry 7 including Anquan.

I'm betting that they keep 6 tops. Maybe even 5. DG has a history of only keeping 4 wrs so I'd be shocked if he kept 7.

no way. our top 3 receivers have been hurt...so thus the need for more players. If he kept 5 then we would have 4 active with 2 of them coming of injury the first week? no way

I think you will see a lot of the 2 TE sets. Diamond and Jones both can catch the ball. Diamond had a great catch last night on a seam rount. He even made someone miss.

It will be a couple of weeks before our WR's are healthy enough and have had enoungh reps with Josh to be successful.

Green will keep at least six.

Each of the 3 WR positions will have at least one backup.

The starters will be Williams, Fitz (if ready), and Johnson (if ready). Kasper and/or Pool will step in at the spots if Fitz or Johnson can't go. I think the Cardinals keep Boldin, Fitz, Johnson, Williams, Kasper and Poole with Newhouse and maybe Hamilton (if eligible) going to the practice squad.

Russ, I think we will see the offense as it was meant to be. We will see all the above. Just reading the post about our wr receivers tells me that everybody pretty much agrees that ALL the wr's have shown the ability to get up, catch the ball, and make clutch catches. If we were to go into a "shell", teams will move the safety up and we will be forced to pass anyway.
I think we need to show teams they HAVE to respect Poole, Kasper, Williams, and even Newhouse, not to mention BJ and Fitz.
Green will put these players into a position to suceed. Whether they do or not will be up to them.

decisions

I'm sure that no matter the personal that we have right now, things will be better, coach Green brings a proven offensive strategy and good game day decisions, that we lack like, forever...
