This thought popped in my head yesterday. What would you do if the Cardinals where the ones to sign Greg Hardy? Everything else is the same just Michael Bidwill was the one acting like Jerry Jones.

Clearly he is a talented guy on the field and in an area of need here in Arizona. And remember how you felt/treated D Wash when he smacked around his ex. (Although iirc correctly he just pushed her and Hardy beat the living daylights out of his fiance)

Please try to be honest.

This was sent from my cell pjone so please excise any typeos or other errors.

Would not be happy. However, as a season ticket holder would not give up my tickets. Would never cheer him if name is ever announced. Its a tough situation for your teams fans to handle. Thank goodness Bidwills would never sign him.

I've given a lot of thought to what I will do if/when Washington ever comes back. Same kind of situation. These domestic violence cases are not only disgusting in their own right, but coming from a high-profile place such as the NFL, really have a chance to be spotlighted and demonized in a way that the cases that happen every day among non-celebrities don't. I don't want to take away from that by accepting the player back into the fold.

I think I'm with Jam otherwise, I wouldn't drop my tickets for it, but I wouldn't want to cheer for that player again. I would feel disappointed in our decision to put Hardy on the field.

I want to win, a lot. But, I also am proud of our track record with not having too many of the knuckleheads of the NFL.

Can't say what I would do, because the situation hasn't happened...However, for the record, my friends in Dallas tell me that their is not overwhelming public support for Hardy being on the Cowboys. Many are disgusted with the situation.

I feel like if he was signed here he wouldn't be behaving the way he has in Dallas. Jerruh and Jason Garret can't control all the idiots they signed. No one can control that kind of crazy in multiple players. I like to think he would be held accountable here.

I love football. I love watching my teams win. I've also learned to separate the player from the person. There are too many knuckleheads in football to think it's a good idea to idolize or truly admire anyone who walks onto the field. The truth of the matter is there are more Greg Hardy, Adrian Peterson, and Justin Blackmon types in the league than there are Russell Wilson. Unfortunately, some of our most talented players have a dark side that we may or may not be aware of.

If I wanted to watch a bunch of good guys play football, I'd watch Ivy League ball on Saturdays, but I'd be sacrificing entertainment value as a result. Watching NFL or college football, I accept that I'm rooting for unsavory people, but it won't preclude me from watching because it's still entertainment.

In the bowtie era, it would have never even warranted thinking about, this regime has shown they will take a chance (Honey Badger) but I still think the odds of the Cards taking a chance on a character anywhere near as bad as Hardy are close to zero.

Michael is not Jerry... closed discussion on why to even consider such a stupid signing

I agree wholeheartedly but, I heard on the radio here Monday that only 3 teams contacted Hardy...the Cowpies, Sucs & the Big Red. Only 2 offered him deals which were the other 2. Whew I would've hated that signing & yes he's part of the soap opera going on here.

If the Cards signed him, and then he showed real contrition and tried to turn things around, I could root for him to become a better citizen. That does not mean I would root for him as a football player though. I could continue to support the organization.

However, he is not trying to be a better person. In fact, he seems to be going out of his way to be difficult, obstinate, and lacking in any remorse. This makes me much less likely to support the team that signs him and continues to enable him as acts out on a weekly basis.

That's pretty much describes how I would feel and act if he was here. I would be happy once he was gone, no matter how successful we were with him in the lineup.

I wouldn't want him and would be disappointed if he played with the Big Red. He needs help. The HB situation is totally different in my mind.

I hear you, so I will go off of actions signed, sealed and delivered which has the recipient being the Cowboys lol

I would hate the signing but at the same time I do believe everyone deserves a second chance. I would have hated it if we signed Vick.

As some others have posted, it is the Bidwill tradition to avoid bad character guys and I am thrilled that is the case.

DWashout was drafted by us and is part of the family. If he comes back I will root for him for as long as he never lays an angry hand on a woman.

Jones can say he wants to help trouble players and give them second chances but we all know it's just about trying to win at all costs.

Man... we were one the teams reported sniffing this piece of garbage's jock... AFTER seeing what Washington did to the team? That doesn't make me feel good about this team.

i would have been PISSED when we signed him... and sadly, probably had been happy he was killing quarterbacks if we did sign him.

I LOVE that SK did his due diligence and looked into a pass rushing stud instead of simply saying he looks like a bad dude so I will be lazy and simply say no.

Once they investigated Hardy they said no thank you which is the right decision. This process is how HB gets drafted and Hardy is not even offered a deal.

I can't understand what's not to love about this. The right decision was made in the end and no Assuming was done by SK.

Passive aggressive Cowboy defenders can take this and run with it. :)

Cheer for the Cardinals and pray for Hardy to get help. Celebrate the good guys on the team. There are so many good people on this team...and in the NFL in general.
