Before reading, I used http://www.draftcountdown.com/features/Value-Chart.php for my Trade Value Chart. My best possible scenerio goes:
Trade with Cowboys and drop back to 18th (picking up extra 2nd and 3rd round). Cowboys may be looking to move up and get a DE since their switching to a 4-3.
1st Round - 18 (Cowboys): Chance Warmack OG Alabama - I know a lot of people think he's going to go relatively early, but guards just don't get drafted that high. Everyone thought David DeCastro was going early last year and he stayed on the board till 24.
2nd Round - 38: Eddie Lacy RB Alabama - You want to get a RB? Go to the place that pops them out better than anybody else. The line is not going to open up holes like we want the very first year. A speed back will take a pounding. Get a workhorse that can take the beating and still manage to get you yards.
2nd Round - 47 (Cowboys): Eric Reid SS LSU - Would love to see him and Patrick Peterson form a strong SS/CB combo. Some people will be down on his play last season, but the kids been a stud 3 years now (most notably the 2011 season). Like him a lot more than I did Rashad Johnson coming out of college.
3rd Round - 69: Landry Jones QB Oklahoma - The team wants to give Kolb another season, but we don't want to be left with complete crap if Kolb doesn't work out. Draft a QB every year like Keim said and get a guy that for every 3 TD's threw an average of 1 INT. Much better to spend a 3rd on Jones than a 2nd on Wilson when you're not getting much difference in talent.
3rd Round - 80 (Cowboys): Kyle Long OT Oregon - Keep bolstering up the O-Line. Our tackles in Potter and Massie seemed like they got better as the year went on. And we have a returning Levi Brown. Let Brown and Potter fight for the LT spot and bring in another Tackle to push Massie. What I like about Long? Played in up-tempo system, blocked great for Barner and Mariota this season, and shows quick feet (much like brother Chris Long DE St. Louis Rams). Plus I'd love to see brother vs brother 2x a year.
4th Round - 100: Brandon Jenkins OLB Florida State - Went out after week 1 with a broken foot and didn't play a single snap afterwards. He had a huge 2010 year, decent 2011 year, and hardly played in 2012. He was supposed to be a 1st round talent, but will likely fall. Would love the Cards to pick him up in the 4th if he's still available.
5th Round - 137: Blaize Foltz G TCU - The TCU line had a GREAT 2011, averaging over 200 yards on the ground and 440 yards total per game. Last year they weren't as good, but the talent there wasn't as good either. Blaize had a good 2012 season, making the All-Big 12's second team. Was hurt early on but came on really strong towards the end of the year.
6th Round - 169: Jake Stoneburner TE Ohio State - Was arrested before the season started, didn't see many opportunities this year, but is 6'5, 250 lbs., and runs a 4.4 40. Wouldn't mind taking a 6th round flyer on him.
7th Round - 201: Aaron Tipoti DT Cal - 6'2, 275 lbs. Has played DT at Cal but will switch to DE in the NFL. Liked him a lot when I got to see him play. Not a guy that will show up on a lot of stat sheets, but made it very easy for other players to get in the backfield (which is what we need from a 3-4 DE).
Now that I've told you what my draft fantasy is, tell me yours! Let's get some positive vibes on the board!
