We'll have plenty of time to digest all that went wrong with the season, but I was curious about the moments when each of us absolutely knew this season would likely be a bust.

I'm not so much looking for a hindsight answer. I want to know which moment, as it was happening, caused you to know this was a lost cause?

Starting Derek Anderson and releasing #7. Seriously: Derek Anderson was worse than JaMarcus Russell in 2009. Once that happened, the season was going to be toast, because there was no Plan B.

Yep. I HOPED that it would work out and I gave it the benefit of the doubt. I felt that maybe (and maybes don't usually workout in the NFL) Dewreck could recapture the magic he had for one season in Cleveland, throwing the ball to Fitz, Breaston, Doucet, Roberts, but after about 2 games I knew it wasn't going to happen and felt we were going to have a long season.

They had me at 'goodbye', to Leinart that is. Not that he is some world beater but I just couldn't digest the whole thing...still can't

Yeah, that's why I picked the Rams game. I still had hope, even though I didn't think DA looked all that great in training camp or preseason. I thought maybe the coaches were seeing something I didn't see. I was trying to give the benefit of the doubt.

But, after struggling in that first game, I knew we were in for a long, sad season.

I knew it the moment I watched Houston manhandle us at every position, on every single play, both sides of the line, in the first quarter of the first game of the preseason. Still, I thought we'd win 7 games simply because of how weak our schedule was.

i feel that letting Matt go before the first game was the big "oh sh*t" sign in the sky. i would like to have seen how far Matt could have taken us. then bringing in DA pretty much sealed it. i personally feel that they should have given Matt the chance and given him at least 4 or 5 games to find out.

I thought we still might hover around .500 and stay in the race until we blew the Tampa game. Hope briefly came back during the first three quarters next week, only to be more viciously snuffed out by blowing the Vikings game.

Got nervous and confused when ML was cut.

Knew in my heart when we lost that 2nd game to the Seahawks.

Watching Mario Williams pancake Keith on the 3rd offensive play of the game made me cringe.

Yeah, that was a little embarrassing. Unfortunately, while it stood out during that game it did not stand alone. I've watched a fair amount of football in my life and I can't remember ever seeing a team dominated to the extent we were during that quarter. The worst thing in the world for our team and our expectations is that somehow we went on to win that debacle.

The minute Whis cut Leinart making DA the starter, I knew 6 wins was the max for the team this season.

I knew it during the late season collapse in 2008, Blown out by anybody decent before we reinserted Edge for Seattle and the playoffs. Quite well hated for saying it then.

I had hope that We would balance it up starting Matt and Beaine last offseason. but at the Red and wHite scrimmage, Whiz called back a TD on Matt and punked him as hard as possible every chance to see how he would respond was it.

" we know what we have in matt, we need to see what the other guys can do." don't feed me crap and call it honey, don't do it to my teams stars either, freaking tool.

Lets keep UFA, QB, WR, WR and see how this works, well we see all right we see.

Whiz destroyed the Cards for years and is starting the same way this offseason. Attacking the talent that took us to the SB, destroying their fragile confidence and tossing the whole team under the bus instead of individually.

Yea I would want to play for that tool on this team! Stick a fork in Whiz He's done, rather this year or 3 years hes lost this team forever. He's done everything exactly wrong since the playoff saints game.

Had plenty of mistakes covered by the stench of success before that! We win in spite of him not because of Whiz's playcalling

When Kurt Warner retired, there never was a QB groomed, ready and waiting in the wings. I could say more but what's the use, the Bidwills have what they wanted...money.

huh

Matt Leinart was the most prepared QB in the history of earth! Whiz said he knew what he had in matt and proceeded to systematically destroy his chances and his reputation. Started DA kept Skelton and Max Hall!

Of course it was Matts fault look at the season without him. what clarity do you need? 4 more seasons just like it! Beanie on the bench, except of course the last preseason game, to make sure He gets hurt, so you can start a back up quality RB in his place.

Gees Kurt had not nearly the power to save this thing that people think. Nor Dansby, or Rolle or Q or Reggie Wells Cody Brown, Mcfadden

Freaking Mike Adams has no place on a NFL 2ndary, ST maybe!

I've never been quite sure Thesmel: Why do you think Whiz cut Matt? You've given us all your ratings and your own very high opinion of Matt. Why didn't Whiz keep him? What's your theory?
