Hey guys, I had a trip planned out to LA this weekend to go to Six Flags (Sunday-Tuesday) but it looks like it's gonna rain. I was thinking about going next weekend instead, but I want to make sure I don't miss any playoff games. So when do the playoffs start?

I assume the games are going to be televised but by who? ABC, TNT/TBS, ESPN, UPN45?

It looks like that Sunday games will be on ABC (not every sunday game though). Some will be on ESPN and TNT I believe. I think UPN45 will still do the away games. But the home games not otherwise televised I am not sure.

I am saying this 2 houston losses or 2 suns wins too early.

Crosses fingers.

Is there any other series you guys are going to watch besides a likely Suns/Spurs matchup?

I might have watched a Lakers/Mavs series but that might not happen now (at least in the first round).

As a LA Theme Park Conisseur, let me say Six Flags Magic Mountain is overrated.

I have ridden the X and it was more confusing than fun. The food is sparse and overpriced. The lines are OUTRAGEOUS. I spent over 2 hours in line to ride the X.

The worst thing about Magic Mountain is it is a big gangsta hangout. They basically cut into lines on any ride they please and act like they own the place.

The best theme park in LA is Knotts Berry Farm bar none. Lines aren't so bad. Food is top rated (Knott's legendary fried chicken). It has a nice theme area and has the most fun roller coaster in existance right now called the Excellerator.

The Excellerator takes you from 0-90 in like 3.1 seconds. You then climb some 20 stories in a 90 degree angle and then go over in a 90 degree angle. When you crest the hill, you can't see the track underneath you. You literally feel like you are on a launch pad.

Plus, you can usually find discount tickets into Knotts to get in for half the price.

Currently you can get the "Romance Package" at Knotts Berry farm. For $169 you get:

1 Nights stay at the Radisson Resort at Knotts Berry Farm
Admission for 2
Dinner at the Italian restraunt at the hotel.
Breakfast Buffet in the Morning
Champagne in your room and Chocolates.

My fiance and I have gotten this package the last two valentines days and it a blast.

Just my personal recommendation.

I haven't been to Knotts Berry Farm yet. I usually go out to Six Flags at least once a year. I agree that the line for X is horrible, but I'm actually going on a Monday so the lines shouldn't be that bad. They also open up a new rollercoaster tomorrow called "Scream!" that I want to check out. Other than that Goliath is an awesome rollercoaster. I'll eventually get over to Knott's one of these trips. I've been to Disney, which I thought sucked, and Universal, which was pretty cool to go to the day after Six Flags because there wasn't as much walking.

I go to Knotts every year for the Halloween Haunt. Probably the best Halloween experience in the Western United States. It's an amusement park sized Haunted House with mazes all over.

I always laugh when I hear Rawhide or the Scream Zone claim to be the "biggest in the West".

Not even close.

I went to Six Flags this summer but X was closed.

Goliath was really cool!

Deja Vu was cool but I waited in line for ever for a 2 min ride.
