Hazen and Torrey need to go ASAP. Kendrick needs to stop acting like a cash poor team owner. The Dbacks are just outside the top 10 in television markets...and many teams below them have figured out to to spend and win. The Dbacks can do the same.

Kendrick is 80 years old. If he was smart he would sell and double his fortune before he passes away. Obviously winning and team success mean nothing to him so why hold on to the team? As far as markets go, team success depends on how committed an owner is to winning. No matter market size, people will pay to watch a successful team. If KK spent money to make this team a WS contender he could raise ticket and concession prices and make the money back but he is a very shrewd business man who only cares about the bottom line.

Torrey is just a bad game manager and though Hazen is kind of a victim of a cheap owner he is a bad roster builder. There were plenty of guys he could have signed last offseason within his sad budget but he brought in guys who are more of liabilities than assets.

For all the Jerry Colangelo love around here, he really did stick us with 2 of the worst owners in professional sports in recent history between Bob Sarver and Uncle Ken. Just complete destroyers of hope.

Jerry was forced out by majority vote by the managing partners. It led to a title but he was deferring contracts and borrowing money to pay players. I remember reading that at the last minute other owners didn’t approve either 98’ expansion team receive full percentages of the tv deals and it set us back from the get go. Kendrick had a stake in the team since its inception in 95’ and when he took over he inherited a tom debt and nearly $250m in deferred salaries.

Jerry should’ve 100% did a better job in the Suns sale though. He got played bad by Sarver.

Jerry needed another year, Nash came a year to late to have JC cash in. I dont think JC sells after the 7 seconds or less took over. and poker face would have gotten that extra 5M he wanted and stayed. Also draft pick would not have been sold and Phx would have stayed a destination for FA

A couple of days ago...looks like he will linger on life support through the end of the season - and then he'll be unplugged, picking up a 1st or 3rd base coach position with another abysmal team.
