When will it all end?

I'm done with all these rumors. They're killing me. ESPN has no credibility any more. The Jim Grays and Ric Buchers of the world are so desperate for a scoop, and to be proved right in retrospect, that they're floating a bunch of ridiculous rumors in the slim hope one of them turns out to be right.

ESPN should be ashamed of itself. In the body of every new article about a trade rumor is a league-wide denial of the previous day's rumor.

I'm beginning to think that the most likely outcome in the next couple days is no outcome at all. Kobe stays with the Lakers. Garnett stays with the Wolves. The Suns don't trade up.

I mean, this has gotten ridiculous.

And I would actually be just fine with that scenario. Bring in a Hill or some other FA that would actually get some time. Draft responsibly. And move forward.

Seconded. The Suns would be in a bit of cap mess in the short term, but the title would be more than worth it.

Amare/KT
Marion/Diaw
Hill/JJ/Belenelli/Piatkowski
Bell/Barbosa/Belenelli
Nash/Koponen/Banks

Of all the scenarios discussed, this one probably results in the Suns being the deepest. Though I'd hope they could also find one more front court player to sign for the minimum.

Not a bad lineup and much better than some of the trade scenarios. Didn't Ely mention that he wished he had come to Phoenix. I'm sure there are other minimum bigs that could fill the bill.

The problem is that the Suns still need cap relief of some sort. I would like to see them DRAFT AND PLAY some players. Too bad Burke won't opt out. Or Pike retire. Or Banks retire. Or....

If the Suns do nothing but draft the three picks they have, the salary for 2007/08 is $76.5 million before the picks are paid! Man. Banks was bad. And KT is bad for how little he plays.

I think last season was Burke's last year under contract with the Suns.

More torture tonight. I hope the draft brings sweet relief and allows us to go on with our lives.

It should. The majority of the trades involve draft picks so unless something weird happens (ie a blockbuster trade involving a sign-and-trade) then most of the rumors will simply go away.

Yes. The only plausible scenerio to cut LT is to trade KT to the Bobcats along with $3 million in boot. That only works if they have a good idea as to who would replace him.

The joke is on us. What a bunch of wasted energy over the last few weeks. So much spinning of our collective wheels over absolutely nothing.
