If you mean the "official" board - when they shut it down, they said they were switching to Disqus. Basically going to articles with comment sections, I believe.

Here was the email they sent out, FYI:

Hey everybody,

If you have a moment, we wanted to talk about the future of the message board.

We are moving to a new website look, with new features across the platform. One of those features is Disqus, a popular and efficient commenting system on articles that, among other things, allows for good interaction not only with the team but also with other fans. Because of this, and because so much interaction already happens across social media, we will be phasing out the message board on June 1.

Unfortunately, this board has aged on the backend – you may have encountered difficulties at times – and it makes sense to update the way in which topics are discussed. While you will be able to sign up through Facebook or Twitter, those who do not use those outlets can sign up directly through Disqus, which would be similar to the way you signed up for this current board.

We hope everyone will make the transition with us, and thank you for your patience.

Sincerely,

Darren Urban

That’s ridiculous. But many sites are doing it - getting rid of any existing community to shift towards comment systems that essentially boil down to a bunch of random people shouting into the wind. I didn’t post there, but man is that lame.

Anything Darren Urban says or writes has nothing more than words in it. I guess it is a kind of talent.

I've never been there so it really means nothing to me, yet somehow based on comments here I didn't miss anything either.

I loved posting on that board in the mid to late 00s. It got ridiculously stupid after the SB run though. I remember the Warner/Leinart debates prior to that offseason being epic. People going nuts on that topic all offseason. That being said, love this place way more

Like we don't have similar debates here?

There were some good people there. Gee, Kid Stallyn, Drahcir to name a few.

Find away to get them here. Wish I knew it was going to close down. I would have been over there pmming users links to this place.

I never understood why sites that have successful forums close them down for article based comments. Makes zero sense.
