After a phenomenal start to SEC play this past weekend, the Alabama Crimson Tide are back on the rise in Monday's latest update of the USA TODAY Sports College Baseball Coaches Poll.
Released on Monday afternoon, Alabama was one of the nation's biggest risers this week, jumping four spots to No. 12 from No. 16. Now sitting just outside the Top 10 nationally, this is the highest ranked the Crimson Tide have been so far this season.
This past week, the Crimson Tide played a total of four contests, the first of which was a 6-3 road win Tuesday night at UAB. After, Alabama would then travel to Texas A&M to open SEC play with three games in College Station, going on to sweep the Aggies by scores of 6-4, 6-2, and 2-0, respectively.
With these results, Alabama now owns an impressive 20-1 overall record this season, and are off to an undefeated 3-0 start in SEC play.
Looking ahead, the Crimson Tide will be back in action this Tuesday night at home against South Alabama. Alabama will also host No. 1 ranked, as well as undefeated, Tennessee this weekend in what will likely be the top series across the SEC this upcoming weekend.
