The Oregon Ducks' first year as members of the Big Ten Conference has been a successful one under Dana Altman.
While the Ducks got bounced from the conference tournament on Friday, losing to the No. 1 seed Michigan State Spartans, Oregon finished the year with a 24-9 record and eight Quad 1 wins, which is among the most in the nation. Led by Nate Bittle and Jackson Shelstad, the Ducks have built up quite a bit of hype going into the men's NCAA tournament as a dangerous team that could be a tough out.
So what is the outlook for Oregon's future as we kick off Selection Sunday in the world of college basketball?

Unlike years past, Oregon fans can go into Selection Sunday with supreme confidence that the Ducks will be dancing in March. The only question that remains is what seed they will be. According to ESPN's Joe Lunardi, Oregon will be a 5-seed in the East Region, giving them a Round of 64 game against 12-seed Liberty.
On3 has Oregon projected as a 5-seed in the Midwest Region, giving them a Round of 64 matchup against Drake. Meanwhile, CBS Sports has Oregon predicted to be a 4-seed in the South Region with a Round of 64 game against Akron.
At this point, it's hard to believe that the Ducks won't be respected by the tournament committee on Sunday and given an advantageous seed, likely entering the tournament as a heavy favorite in their first game.
While the Final Four in 2025 will be played in San Antonio, Texas, there are a number of places where the Ducks might play their first game of the tournament. Here's a look at the possibilities:
Selection Sunday will be aired on CBS at 3 p.m. PT on Mar. 15.
